Fifth floor Staircase 1 (there are like, fifty/floor or something so w/e)

Fry stood there with Eric and Jake. The three were having a conversational argument on who would be better off once they graduated. This conversation concluded with hilarious theories and plenty of laughter. They were clearly enjoying themselves unlike many other people.

Selia stood at the top of the staircase, looking down at them. Holly was angry with them. Karin was out of the question. Would they really like having a girl with them anymore? She'd be the odd one out. They'd look at her oddly. She bit her lip and just decided to stare at them.

Holly happened to be walking by the staircase on the way to the common room. She stopped, and tapped Selia on the shoulder. "Hey. What are you looking at?" She gazed in the direction of the boys, and stiffened slightly. She was still pretty pissed off at Fry.

"Them. I'm trying to decide if they'll want to talk to me or not."

"Why wouldn't they want to talk to you?"

"I'd be the only girl there, wouldn't I? I dunno. I suppose I'll just go down there." She slid down the banister of the stairs, and jumped off near them. "Hi guys!"

Holly opened her mouth to speak, but Selia had already left. Just like that. Curling her hands into fists, she walked off in the direction of the common room.

Jake waved. "Hey!"

Eric was too busy laughing with Fry to greet her.

Soon, the two were finished and leaned against the staircase. "Yeah, hey, Selia. How're you?"


At that moment, Antonio walked down the staircase. Fry's mind suddenly slowed down. He watched Antonio walk down the stairs with a cold, emotionless stare, which Antonio returned back. The moment seemed to slow down, but soon Antonio was past Fry and the others and gone down the stairs. Fry watched him leave with his eyes narrowed. Once he turned around the corner, Fry looked back up to them. "Yeah, so."

"Whoah, what was THAT all about?" Selia asked, smiling and nodding at their hellos.

"What was what about?" Fry said with a smile that seemed a bit tight on the cheeks.

"That-- That stupid Antonio. Why was he staring at you like that? It was like he was totally gay!"

"Antonio's not gay. No offense, but have you seen him and Karin? He fucking snook into the Gryffindor common room last night and the two were all over the couch."

"That's disgusting.." Selia mumbled, but her heart wasn't really in it. She was a bit jealous.

Fry glared down the staircase. He didn't know what to say, now.

"We sort of suck. Look at Karin and Antonio, all happy. They're getting action. They're perfectly delighted with themselves. And we're just moping."

Fry sighed. "I hate girls," he mumbled.

"We need to stop being so pointless!" Where's Holly when you need her?

Selia sighed. I knew this would happen.

Fry glanced at her. "Why are YOU so down, then?"

Eric nodded. He thought that Selia seemed pretty down and out of place.

"Huh? Oh, I'm not down. I'm doing perfectly well."

Eric shook his head. "I've got to head back to the common room, It's getting late."

Jke nodded. "Yeah... curfew, and all. Bye, you guys!"

Fry shrugged. "May as well go too. Hey, see you guys at lunch, I guess?"

"Bye." Selia mumbled- and she went off, close behind Jake. In the end, she caught up to him and struck up a conversation. "It's just really sad, you know?!" She said angrily.

Jake glanced at her. "What is?"

"EVERYTHING! Karin and Antonio making out on the Gryffindor couch, Holly being mad at Fry, Antonio being mad at Fry, I'm the only girl you guys talk to, and as soon as I got there, you guys stopped laughing. It feels horrible!"

"It wasn't because you came along, it's because as you came, so did Antonio! And as he passed, it just got awkward!"
