A Quiet Corner

"Oh, of course it's dreadful, but I'm not crazy.. Think- after all this is over, you'll see him, and your eyes will meet, and you'll run forward screaming his name in delight, and you'll kiss..." Selia said, looking envious. "I wish I had a boyfriend.."

"Hah, it's nice! But sometimes I wish the freedoms of being single." Rachel winked at her. "For instance, you can snog as many boys as you wish."

"Whoah-- you can do that, when you're single?!" Selia asked, eyes huge. "I thought you had to be in a relationship to snog!"

"Err, I was just joking around." said Rachel quickly, not wanting half the boys in the school to be snogged by Selia.

"Oh," Selia said, looking disappointed. "Oh well.."

"You could ask Jake or Eric out," she suggested. "Then you can snog with them all I want. I never did much snogging with Nick-I never thought it was right, because my family is super Catholic and stuff, but it's funny, figuring I just went ahead and..."

"Eric's not the snogging type, and Jake.. Well, a long time ago, I tried to kiss him, and he was all like "YOU'RE MY GIRLFRIEND HOLLY'S MY GIRLFRIEND PROFESSOR SPROUT IS MY GIRLFRIEND DERP". I don't think he gets romance very well."

Rachel laughed right out loud. "Professor Sprout! Oh gosh, he's not really good at thinking on his feet, is he?!"

"He meant girls that are friends.. He's just not that smart at that sort of thing, you know. Besides, we're just friends."

"Alright, Rachel, thank you for your time. I think I'm going to go, now. I need to take a shower before bed, tonight." Selia went back up into the castle.
