"I was. Kind of." Holly sighed. "Hey, it stopped raining... but, wow, it got really late, too! We should head back to the castle, eh?"

Eric nodded. "Yeah, we actually should." Then he remembered how Fry was taken away and his cheerful spirit sunk. "I really miss the old days."

Holly patted him on the shoulder. "I do, too. I think everyone does." She closed his umbrella, and handed it to him. "Thanks again for the umbrella. But I'd really better get going or I'll break curfew. Good bye, Eric!"

Giving him a quick hug of good-bye, she sprinted off in the direction of the castle.

He went towards the castle too, but in a different direction. That's because he was heading towards the Hufflepuff commoon room. Duh.

The Aurors appeared here, in the commotion of yelling people shooting spells towards the destroyed school- which had a whole wall tumbled down, including destroyed sections of the towers and other parts. These people clearly weren't just doing a simple protest, they were full-on fighting. Vicious spells were thrown through the air, and the simple police from Hogsmeade weren't able to hold them back properly. They were falling back, and some were even injured.

Nicolas gazed around at the riot. Taking in who was fighting who. Seeing if anyone was smaller than him--unfortunately, no such luck, though there were some people his height. Maybe he'd aim for those. But for now, he'd wait for instructions from Blaine.

[... wait, what]

Blaine snapped his fingers for attention. "Alright. We don't want to hurt or kill anybody, got it? We're aiming on taking their weapons away from them and holding them down. Then the locals could close in and hold them down. We'll probably find a nice place for them at a nearby jail. But, if there are some that are aiming on killing you, fight back. But, avoid killing. We've got to figure out what they're protesting for. We've got to avoid a rebellion. Now hurry UP!"

The aurors split up, fighting to hold down the people, and one of the protestors turned to Nicolas, and scowled. "You're with the ministry! GET LOST!" He shot a spell right at Nicolas's head.

"Protego!" Nicolas pulled up a shield, which dissolved once the spell hit. "We're not going to leave that easily!" He snapped at the protester. "Everte Statum!"

The man was thrown backwards, and smashed into another protestor. Nicolas had taken down two man at once- considering the two protestors hit their head and passed out.

Two other protestors shot spells at Nicolas with rage-like yells. "YOU HURT BILL AND JERRY! TAKE THIS! Expulso!" He yelled, pointing his wand at the floor by Nicolas' feet. It exploded.

The explosion caused Nicolas to be blown back a foot or so, landing right on his butt. Cursing under his breath, he got up again, considering the spell had landed right by his feet, and not on them. "Furnunculus!"

The man screamed as large red boils began bubbling up on his skin, and he tried to slap them off- causing in pus and blood to come out. He fell backwards, stumbling a few steps, and coward away from the fight.

Nicolas continued to fight the other protesters, now that three were out of the way. He was doing pretty well, considering this was his first time out on the field.

Yes, he was doing VERY well. Blaine noticed this. It really annoyed him. He had managed to take four down, but Nicolas was close behind him. He dodged a spell swiftly, knocking out a fifth person. "Hmm... pretty good for a short newbie." he said outloud. "Reducto!"

And so, they managed to pull down the protestors. Blaine walked up to Nicolas. "Good going!" He patted him on the head, and entered the building where they were restrained. "Hey, Sawyer, come on in. Now for the next step. Figuring out the background of their wrongdoings. Why did they protest? And why against Hogwarts?"

Nicolas irritably smoothed down his hair. He noticed how long it was getting, and made a mental note to get a hair cut. However, he decided not to say anything, and followed Blaine into the building. "Well, they're probably protesting against the continuation of educating here," he started. "Which leads into your second question of why Hogwarts. I mean, a huge wizarding battle just happened, many students died, and with so many things having happened to Hogwarts in the past few years--it seems like a bit of a no-brainer why people would protest against keeping the school open. But, that's just my thoughts, hah."

Blaine looked ticked off. He looked ready to squish Sawyer's head. "Oh, you know it so well, don't you? Okay! I leave you in charge of the investigation. Investigate each protestor, and have a review done for each person's point of view of the whole mess done by tomorrow. Bye!" Blaine smirked darkly, and with a flow of his cloak, he left.

Nicolas stared after Blaine, looking horrified, but quickly wiped the look off of his face. This was a great opportunity! First day and he was already leading an investigation! Before long, he'd have his own office, and maybe he'd be good enough to get his own assistant. He'd seen a few people in the office with assistants. He'd also seen the PO'd looks on Blaine's face, which made him want to continue onward. It felt good to see those looks.

Taking a deep breath, Nicolas began investigating all of the protesters. He didn't finish until it was time for him to quit work for the day, so rather than going back to the Ministry, he just went home.
