Fannings Apartment

Clyde stood there with her in his arms, completely shocked. His mind was racing at a million a miles an our. A boy? A girl? Will it be healthy? Who will it look line!? Clyde managed to grin, all the color draining from his skin. "That's great!"

Robin looked up at him tearfully with a big grin. "Aren't you happy?!"

Looked down at her, straight into her eyes. "I couldn't be more happy!" His smile grew larger as he sniffled, attempting to hide the tears of joy.

Robin laughed happily. "Oh my gosh! This is amazing... I'll of course be taking time off from work, and we'll plan everything, and get the stuff together, and we'll be a family with our little child!"

Clyde looked around the apartment for a second. "We'll need to move to a bigger home... I don't think the baby would appreciate living in a closet."

Robin blinked. "Could we afford it, do you think?"

"I was going to tell you this at dinner... but... you're looking at the new head manager!"

Determined to make this one of the best Christmases ever, Clyde had gotten up extremely early that morning to start decorating. By the time he was done, they had a small-but real, little green tree in the middle of the apartment surrounded by floating jars with different glowing liquids in them. It wouldn't have taken that long, but he had to hunt for an old school book for the colors of potions he was looking for, and then he had to strengthen the jars because some of them were deadly. But, we're not going to think about that non-jolly thought. A couple strings of shimmering silver and gold garland were hanging off kitchen counter, and boxes of cheesy ornaments littered the floor around the tree. In an attempt to make sure Robin didn't have to work at all this morning, Clyde was in the kitchen making breakfast.

Clyde, who was terrible at cooking spells, had decided to go completely hand made with the recipe he was making, which resulted in him flipping hectically through the cookbook.

Robin woke up a bit later, rubbing her eyes and shook her head disapprovingly at him. "Oh, Clyde... let me do it. Go work on the decorations." she said and began to flip through the cooking book to figure out what to cook.

Clyde sighed. "I'm sorry for waking you up to this mess. I was trying to get everything together, and I know you must feel so tired with the baby, and... and... I really need to calm down, don't I?"

Robin put her hands on his shoulders. "It's going to be alright, Clyde," she said looking into his eyes softly. "Go sleep. I've had more sleep than you have, and I'm the one with the baby growing inside me. So go sleep, I'll prepare everything, okay?"

Clyde smiled weakly at her, and nodded. "I'm sorry for freaking out like this." He gave her a kiss on the cheek, and then stumbled back to the bedroom, plopping down on the bed and falling back to sleep in a minute.

And so, Robin prepared the whole dinner, and got most of the decorations around the house while everything was cooking. She enjoyed this! And Clyde would wake up that night to be happy and full of fun. The two would enjoy a wonderful Christmas together.

Clyde woke up again, around very late afternoon, and came out of the bedroom, completely unaware of the mass of messed up hair on his head that looked like a wild animal's nest. He sniffed the air, which the fragrance of whatever Robin decided to cook was tinting.

She was mixing melted chocolate in a pot. "I'm making chocolate mouse!"

Clyde gave her a little squeeze from behind, smilingly groggily. He had gotten enough sleep, but had that feeling when you just wake up. "How in the world do you cook so well?"

"I cooked a lot with my older sister when I was younger."

"That sounds like a lot of fun." Clyde jerked his head to the side, confusedly looking at something. "Robin, what is that?" He motioned towards where he was looking.

"What's what?"

"That weird thing, right behind you."

Robin frowned confusedly and turned around.

While she did, quickly Clyde stuff his finger into the pot of melting chocolate, and then stuck it in his mouth. It's too bad there was evidence against him- a large glop of it was next to his mouth.

When she turned around, she saw him, and frowned. "Wow, Clyde! Way to make it obvious!" she said laughing and swung her arms around his neck. "You know, you're just..." she sighed and shook her head with a smile on her face. "C'mon, let's get this finished."

Clyde smiled guiltily, licking the glop off his face. "Complements to chef. Is there anything I can give you a hand with?"
