Kelsi pressed her elbow on the large window sill and rested her chin in her palm. She moved her eyes slightly, looking only at the landscape and back down to the paper. Her right hand ached from her rushing the small, quick lines that formed the mountains.

She began humming some song that she heard some fourth year singing when she was once walking down the hall to her detention a month ago. That detention was because of her not bringing in her homework- for the fifth time- to Potions. She has her reasons, though...

[Well, the thing is, when you type like, eighty lines in the box, it makes it shorter. So one-liners are usually three lines when you type them. That's what frustrates me, I spend five minutes perfecting a five line answer here, and it comes out as like, two lines. -.-]]

[[Yep, that's why I'm starting now. Like, one-liners might still be an option, but we don't use them as much.]]

Kelsi took out her eraser to erase the stray lines, and took out a darker art pencil. She went over the lines to bring out the actual meaning of the picture. All that took quite a while, and she had to be careful with the pencil. She may be great with landscapes, but Kelsi didn't have a very steady hand.

After finishing outlining with the dark pencil, she took out the other light pencil and began forming faint shadows, and rubbing them with her finger to blend them with the dark line.

With the eraser, she removed the access smudges as much as possible. Now it looked quite realistic like a black and white picture, but there still was the crooked edge to it showing that it was merely drawn by a novice.

She then began humming Disturbia, in which Rachel had gotten stuck in her head. She took a large bite out of the cream puff next to her, and continued re-outlining places needed to be outlined, erasing some bad lines and re-drawing them, intensifying shadows, erasing shadows...

It just kept going on and on until the sun was beginning to set. Kelsi decided to grab her art folder and place the drawing into the folder. Then she put it into her dirty shoulder-bag and snapped it shut. It was so old-looking from being dragged around the place, the bag.

A strap was beginning to fall apart, the bag itself was stained with dirt and other stuff, and it was beginning to smell a bit like sweat.

She slung it over her shoulder no matter what, and left off for dinner.

Holly was in the Owlery, writing a letter to home. The simple stuff, though: How are you, how is mom, how is Andrea, school is great, Libby dyed her hair, I think Drew has a crush on some girl in Libby's year... Basic things. The letter ended up being a foot long, in Holly's neat, italic handwriting. She didn't say anything about Fry; Libby, or any of her sisters, could do that stuff. Instead she told about her siblings' romances, so they could get "the talk" from Mr. and Mrs. Brown. Once the letter was done, Holly tied it to a school owl (she was too lazy to find her own), and watched as the owl flew away.

Fry poof'd in with a bulky letter.
"Oh, hey, Holly!" Fry exclaimed, acting surprised that Holly was in there.

Lately, he's been feeling drawn to Holly, and was beginning to get strong feelings for her. But she can't know, that would just be ridiculous. He poked Holly on the shoulder, and looked down at her. His thin, wide mouth was stretched into a large smile, and his dark eyes gleamed in the sun. Today, he decided to go for dark blue hair, it fit him well.

"Hey, Fry," Holly said, smiling at him. "Are you stalking me or something? 'Cause lately, you've been appearing in several of the places I've been."

She sat on the windowsill, looking down at the school grounds. Her hair, which had been just to her shoulders at the beginning of the year, was now hip-length and curly. She actually liked having long hair.

    Fry's face turned bright red.
"N-No, I'm sure it's just coincidences. I mean, after you get to know the school, it's actually pretty small- eh?" he laughed, and leaned against the window sill.

Holly arched her eyebrows, but after about three seconds they went back to normal. "Yeah. I guess so," she said, and looked down at the grounds. She suddenly remembered that bet with Libby, who was down on the grounds, walking around. Ugh. And if Holly lost, she couldn't tell anybody that it was a bet. "It can seem pretty small once you get used to it."

"Yep. So, were you sending a letter?" he asked. It was quite obvious, she had let some owl go when he came up. Stupid question.

Fry left to get some school owl, and attach a letter to its food. It bit at his hand and he pulled it back.
"Stupid birds..." he mumbled, and tightened the letter.
"Kay, go fly. Good luck, birdie."
The owl sqwuaked in his face and took another snap at his finger before flying off.

"Yeah, sending a letter to my parental units," Holly said, and nodded at Fry. "Oh, I won't be going to Germany this summer. I'll be staying in Forest Hills."
