"Yeah, I guess. I still think I'm tall though. Boys like shorter girls..."

Eric was taller than Karin. He looked away to hide his bright red face.

"So, uh, how are your parents?"

"Jeez, I dunno. Mom's always drunk as usual, dad's always on business calls, and you know they hobbies. Speaking of which, can I stay at your place this summer? I know it's sudden, and a bit early, but you know, so I have stuff to look ahead for through the year?"

Karin looked a little startled. "Err, I'll ask my parents. Mind you, my dad might freak out a little bit though..."

"Oh? How?"

"He doesn't like the thoughts of me or Rachel beings friends with guys, or going out with them and stuff like that. Like, last year when Rachel said she invited a friend over that was a guy, he started yelling stuff like 'No! Siete troppo giovani per vedere i ragazzi! Siete giusti una ragazza piccola! Lontano ugualmente giovani! Hanno potuto colza!' and stuff like that."

"You're Italian?"

"Yeah, my dad is anyway. He taught me and Rachel. We both speak Italian and English at home."

"Wow, that's awesome. I'm simply English. with a tad of Sweden, but that's like, 1% or something."

"Oh, we'll there's still that one precent. Anyway, if you lived in Italy, I'm sure people would think that you are 'Molto molto dolce e meraviglioso'" she said with a wink.

"A what?"

"Nothing, nothing..."

"Fine. Eh, it's almost dinner."

"It's after dinner, now," said Karin as stared off.

"Right, I knew that. Nice view."

"Have you ever notice... how insignificant we're all are?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, that like the world won't think much of us when we're older, and, they're is so many of us, and crap, I sound like my sister. I should just shut up now."

"No, no, keep going."

"It's stupid, but, basically I'm saying like how in general, none of us is going to count in the wizarding community. Or the world in general."

"Well, that's true. But, although that fact hangs in the air, you WERE the one that told me that everybody has a purpose in life."
