Fifth Year Girls Dorm

Kelsi entered and stared at the fresh-scented, warm room. There was a dark yellow carpet with small leaf designs and matching curtains. Several bookcases were pressed against one wall with several beds along a wall that was sharing corner with the bookcase wall. A few desks and wardrobes were pushed beside the door on both sides along with a few beds pressed against the wall, and beside the two windows. Kelsi threw herself on one of the beds beside the window, and she immediately called it.

There were bedside tables by every bed, which were slightly larger than last year, with more book space. The bookshelves were empty except for some academic books that were placed for entertainment and studying. The dorm was nice and wide and had plenty of space. Armchairs were around while wooden chairs were tucked under the desks.

Amanda entered, going for the bed to the left of Kelsi. Amanda plopped down on it, her hands feeling the soft, dark yellow comforter. She took a deep breath, letting herself sink into the cushiony bed.

She found her suitcase in the corner and rolled over next to her bed. She unclipped the sides and threw it open. Kelsi pulled out her three pairs of uniform and robes and set two to the side. She pulled out all her underwear and socks and bras, all that stuff, and set it on top of the uniforms. Kelsi picked everything up and went to one of the three large wardrobes, and tucked the two uniforms in the bottom shelf. She hung her two extra robe pairs in the long gap beside the shelves on one of the hangers, and set her two pairs of shoes on the small platform under the robes.

Kelsi put her under-clothing and socks in a shelf on top of the uniform.

Amanda went for a large wardrobe which was crafted of dark wood. A decorative piece sat on the top of it in the back. It looked like a random combination of different swirls that had leaves growing off them. Undoing the straps on her trunk, Amanda flung it open revealing her clothes. She put her different shoes neatly on the bottom shelf. Her sneakers which were pink and green adidas were placed side by side with her black pair of flats with a silver ribbon near the end of the both of them. Then, Amanda fished out her cloak, hanging it on one of the hangers. After, she took her sets of uniforms and pushed them to the very end of the hanger pole, leaving one in the middle for the morning. Her under garments were placed on a top shelf. The one last thing she did was put up her picture of everyone together from first year in the back, hanging up neatly.

She turned back around and got the extra clothing she brought, which turned out to be her favorite pair of shorts, the cuttoff overalls, two pairs of jeans, a pair of dark blue jean capris and the lulu lemon-style black sweat-pants. She refolded each pair of bottoms and then pulled out her short jean skirt, the white cotton flow-y skirt that fell to her knees, and one pair of leggings. Kelsi lifted up one of each color of white, blue, yellow, black and red tank-tops, a white T-shirt that fell to her mid-thighs, a slightly-tight yellow and black T-shirt that went down to her hips with the weird horse sign in the upper right chest area, and two white and black long-sleeved shirts. Out came two sweaters, one that was black with white paint designs, and another that was white with black checkered designs.

She folded all of the stuff and set it in the two upper shelves of the tall wardrobe. There were five more shelves left, and those could be reserved for the other dorm-mates.

[[I'm sorry. I had to write it down to keep track of what clothing Kelsi brought, instead of making her always wear different clothing all the time, as if she has an unlimited supply of clothing.]]

She took out her toiletries and set them in a drawer of the large mirror shelf-thing that they all shared.

Kelsi put random posters and pictures of family and friends on the walls by her window and so yeah. Then she changed in her summer pj's, which consisted of a T-shirt draped over soft cotton shorts.

Amanda smiled at her accomplished work so far and spun around, leaning to her trunk to continue. She took out the extra clothing she brought, hanging it up away from her uniforms, all the way on the left side. Amanda put in around five long, plain t-shirts with of the colors purple, blue, green, yellow, and violet for some pajama wear. Then came her famous cargo pants with their rageddey bottoms, her cuffed blue jean shorts that has a light blue coloring in the middle, and then her nifty green capris.

They were sort of light green and had six pockets. Two in the front, two on the butt, and two near her knees. Buttons were on the pockets which were silver and had little green rhinestones in the middle. On the left leg at the very bottom were light and dark designs of a few flowers and leaves. On both side the pants cuffed tight at the ends, with little ribbons showing.

She also put in her dark blue jeans (She has around three of them), her black skirt, her jean skirt, some left of the less wore bottoms she had left in her trunk.

Then for tops she has a short sleeved shirt with a V shape yellow neck cut, with blue green and yellow stripes which faded into one another, a bunch of rainbow colored tanktops with different neck designs, a black jacket which had golden records on it, a light black jacket with tape recorders on it, a plain white t-shirt, a bright yellow shirt with orange hearts on it, then around two different sweaters.

Of course she had various bottoms for PJ's and some jewerly, most of which was left in her trunk. She had left some of her much less wore clothes in her trunk.(.-. Nu-uh..)

Amanda then changed into her pajamas. They simply consisted of a blue, long t-shirt and a pair of red, soft shorts. Smiling, Amanda sat down on her bed. "This is the life Kelsi..."

Libby claimed the free bed on the other side of Kelsi. She reached over to her trunk, and her fingers brushed the handle. Libby tried to grab it, and pulled it onto her bed. She unlatched her trunk, and started pulling out some different tank tops and sweaters. Because the author of this post is not being literate, she also pulled out some jeans and jean shorts, some striped socks, and a couple pairs of Converse. And, of course, her underwear and bras and stuff. She put this all into her dresser drawer thing, and put her mangas in her bedside table cabinet whatever. Libby put her headbands, hair ties, and her brush on the top of her bedside table, and pulled out her uniforms. Setting those neatly in her dresser drawer, she put all of her school supplies in her messenger bag for the next morning, rather than rushing it later. Putting her trunk and whatever else was in it at the foot of her bed, Libby grabbed her pajamas out of her drawer and changed into them; a simple pair of blue shorts and a light pink tank top. Then, she lay down on her bed.

"I've got a question," she said aloud. "Why do we have to change into our uniforms on the train if we change out of them just a couple hours later after dinner?"

Amanda opened her mouth to answer, then closed it. "Well ummm... I'm not sure..."

"I think because.. we need to be formal and stuff for the big dinner?"

Robes over a plaid clothing and tie aren't that formal,"

"True... so we can I dunno... set the fashion traits for the first years?"

Amanda opened up the heavy blankets, sliding into them like a snake. Then she curcled up into a ball under the covers. She really looked like some BIG cat if you looked only at the top blankets.

Kelsi leaned against her bed post brushing her teeth.
"Who cares? All I'm thinking about is how we got some weird Defense Against Dark Arts teacher."

Amanda's muffled voice came from under her blankets, "She's like a toooad.

"We might have figured out that she has a bad sense of style, is extremely boring, and looks like a toad, but it doesn't mean that she's mean."

"Who knnnooows."

When everybody was asleep, it was already really dark, and around 10:00pm. And Kelsi dreamed of some strange dream where she was flying on her broomstick and got really close to the sun. She reached out for the sun, and got burned, only to figure out that the burn was actually from a crazy bee that was chasing her around a flower. For some reason she had fallen off the broom and was plummeting to her death right when she woke up with a jolt. Bright rays of sunlight peeked from behind the blinds by the window, and shone at Kelsi's eyelids.

She rolled over and pressed her forearm against her eyes. It was a new day, and the different, yet familiar texture of the Hogwarts bed sheets made her realize that she wasn't home anymore. Her heart skipped a beat with excitement and she quickly pulled herself out of her bed slowly and carefully. These beds were yet higher and bigger than the other ones from last year, so if she sat on the edge of her bed, Kelsi's feet wouldn't be touching the ground. She slipped down and trudged to the mirror in the dorm.

Kelsi fumbled for her brush and did the annual mistake; take her toothbrush and begin brushing her hair. "Whoops," she said with a laugh, and immediately set it down. Kelsi blinked a few times, to be able to see clearly without that ache in the back of her eyes, and found the gel-handled hairbrush. Kelsi immediately began brushing out the knots in her messy dark brown hair.

She blinked a few times at the mirror as she brushed back her bangs. "Oh crap-" Kelsi saw the nightmare of puberty. Four huge red zits were on her forehead, accompanied by the bumpy redness surrounding each one. She had developed a huge breakout on her forehead overnight. Kelsi immediately brushed her too-long bangs back over her eyes. No way was she going to pull them back with a clip today, this was way too disturbing. And she didn't want to be stared at. And I brought no zit cream...

She lifted her bangs up again. They were bright red, and one seemed to have that weird white spot on top of it. Now they're getting infected! Kelsi groaned angrily and let her bangs fall over her eyes before anybody could see them. Kelsi looked around her to make sure nobody were there, and thank god, nobody had seen anything. She brushed her teeth madly while crossing the room to her clothes and got out of her pajamas and into a fresh underwear and bra. This took quite a while, so by the time she was buttoning on her skirt, Kelsi returned to the mirror and spat out the toothpaste in the small sink.

Kelsi returned to the chair and immediately began pulled on her blouse and vest. It was that light blue/pinkish horizon morning sky outside by the time she was done with everything, and decided to head off for breakfast.
