Charlie stopped smiling.

"AT LEAST I DIDN'T CUT OFF HALF YOUR HAIR! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO GROW THAT OUT?! SEVEN YEARS! SEVEN FREAKING YEARS! AND I APOLOGIZE, AND YOU COMPLAIN AND COMPLAIN, YOUR JUST A STUCK UP SELFISH BRAT!" Apparently, she was screaming now.

Charlie smiled again. But, since he was facing the wall, she couldn't see.

"WELL FINE!!!" she yelled back. "WHY'RE YOU YELLING!?"

"I'M YELLING, BECAUSE APPARENTLY, YOU AREN'T SORRY YOU CUT OFF EIGHT INCHES OF MY HAIR! IT. WAS. FINALLY. PERFECT. AND YOU SNIPPED IT OFF! TWELVE YEARS OF LONG HAIR! GONE! ALL BECAUSE I GAVE YOU A LITTLE BITTY TRIM. AND, DID YOU ASK ME TO PUT IT BACK? NO! YOU WENT AND SNIPPED OFF ALL MY HAIR! I COULD HAVE EASILY FIXED IT, BUT, YOU HAD TO GO AND RUIN ANY CHANCE OF GETTING IT BACK! What did you cut it with, kindergarten scissors?"

"... Maybe ... >.>"

Serenity ran over to her, jaw almost dropping to the floor next to her oh-so-sparkly-shoes. No time to think about shoes...

"Oh my god, Olivia! Are you okay? Did you cut your ears?" Serenity looked at the hair, specifically the edges.

"Once or twice. Not like it hurt, they're only meant to cut paper and stuff."

"They're kid-proof scissors. Oh Olivia! You must have split ends, and it'll take so long to grow back because the roots are probably damaged, and you probably fractured at least half your hair! That makes you go bald, Olivia!"
Serenity turned around, looking at Angel and Charlie for support in her lecture.

"I'll wear a wig. Big deal."

"No it doesn't, silly goose!" said Charlie, pushing Serenity's shoulder playfully.

Serenity's arm snapped out, grabbing his wrist angrily.
"Don't touch me, freak."
Twisting his arm and letting go, she turned to Livi again.
"And, whatever you say, Livi. I like it, it's edgy, just don't spread it around you did it with kid-proofed scissors! Those are cheap plastic."

"Aaaaahhh!"

"Whatever. S'long as people recognize me."

"That's what you get for calling Angel .. a...a... a.. well.. you said a lot about him. But he's not a... ..a.. a.. well, just insert one of the terrible and cruel and untrue things you said about him there!"
Standing up straight and turning to Olivia, back on Charlie, she smiled. "I don't suppose you want help picking out a wig, then, huh? I'll leave it alone." Serenity, ticked off that Charbroiled hadn't gotten kicked yesterday, stepped back with her heel right into Charlie's foot.


"Oops! Sorry, WHAT WAS YOUR NAME AGAIN? I FORGOT BECAUSE YOU'RE A MEANINGLESS IDIOT!"
Fuming and turning back around yet again..
"But, for your wedding, Livi, I'm doing your hair."

He winced, but he kept his smile.

"... Wedding? Psh."

"Psh. Psh. Fun word." Serenity grinned, pushing her weight on the heel on Charlie one more time for the heck of it, then skipping over to Angel and plopping down on the floor next to where he was seated.
"Hey, Angel, can I have some help with homework?"

"Ow, ow, ow, ow, owwwww..."

"Miss Ro-- Ah, I must ask, what name will I call you by now?"

"Why does it make a difference what you call me?"

"Just wondering. I still call you Miss Rosensteel then?"

"It wouldn't exactly hurt to say Serenity once in a while, but Miss Rosensteel is fine, if a little formal. What year did the goblin rebellion start?"

"Which one?"

"There's more than oneee? I hate History of Magic."

"Perhaps the one of 1612?"

"Sure. That one."

"Then, 1612."

"Thank you."
Serenity crawled under a random table and stayed under it.
