Hospital Wing.

Libby and Max arrived, still stuck together, of course. Somehow, they had made it all the way from the clock tower to the Hospital Wing.

Madame Pomfrey bustled her way over and took a long look at them.
"This way, please," She seemed to be fighting the urge to laugh, and set them both on the same bed, and went back into her office.

She came back with a pair of tweezers, some sewing pins, and disinfecting alcohol.

Max had turned a rather bright shade of red. He seeemed to be pretty embrassed about the whole ordeal.

"Oh, my glasses." She turned around and rushed to get her glasses. When she came back she picked up the tweezers and sewing needle, and began picking at the interlock of where their braces got stuck.
". . . Aww well, that's too bad. Both of you got your wires dented, I'll have to re-tighten them- or worse, have to replace the wires." she responded, and at once, Max's wire got undone from Libby's little colored thingy on the tooth, and her wire got undone from Max's little colored thingy on his tooth. The worst pain was maybe a few small pokes from the needle into the gum.

Libby was attempting to look anywhere but at Madame Pomfrey and Max, which was a little difficult, considering the current situation they were in. But, replacing or re-tightening would take awhile. There goes my Saturday, Libby thought.

"Damn it..." mumbled Max. "I just got them tightened recently too..."

"Well, if you weren't kissing so fiercely. . ." Madam Pomfrey mumbled under her breath. She took the needs and tweezers with her into her office and came back with the kit of braces and what-sort.
"Who's first?"

"Libby first," said Max, with a wink at her.

Libby turned red in embarrassment. "Um, yeah. I'll be first, then."

"Open wide. . ." And she approached with the weird tweezer things.

She says it like I'm five years old, Libby thought, opening her mouth for Madame Pomfrey.

And so tightening ensues.

And when it was over, Libby speed-walked out of the Hospital Wing.

"Damn..." said Max quietly before he opened his mouth.

And he walked out.

"Nah, you could use it. I don't know how long it lasts, so maybe you might need to keep taking some. But it'll get me out of at least one class if I just stay with you. And I'm glad I'll be at least missing Defense against Nothing at All. WE'RE HERE."

"Um, Madam Pomfrey? I'm sick..." Said Rachel, trying to sound as sick and fevery as possible.

Madam Pomfrey puffed out her cheeks and settled Rachel in a bed.
"It is the time of the year. . . End of January. . . Hmm! Well, just lie down, Let me get the cooling rag and some medicines," she said after resting the back of her hand on Rachel's forehead.

Kelsi settled next to Rach, and snook the candies into her pocket.
". . . Plus, I'll get time to do my homework."

"Thank you, Madam Pomfrey. You're so really kind..." she gave a slight cough, and when Madam Pomfrey's back was turned, she flashed Kelsi a wink.

Kelsi winked back and grinned widely.

Madam Pomfrey returned with a bottle of brownish liquid and some pastils. A wet rag was slung over her arm.
"And what are you simpering about?"

"Er- nothing, ma'am," Kelsi said with a nod.

Rachel than resumed her acting, and sat back on the bed, slowly closing her eyes...

Kelsi leaned in.
"The fainting one could help on this part." she whispered.


Pomfrey settled the rag on her forehead, and began to measure out the med.

"Madam Pomfrey?" croaked Rachel. "Do you mind if I stay in here for the rest of the day? I just feel TERRIBLE..."
