Slytherin Common Room

"Just..." Olivia grinned. "Listen to your heeeart, before... he tells you, good bye-ye-ye!"

Boris passed them. "... Freak."

"Keep walking."

"That's exactly what I'll- Wait, what's she doing in here?!"

"Did you ever notice that the fire's green?"

Amanda looked at Bore and waved then said, "I have ways of getting in."

Boris nodded. "Yeah, why?"

Amanda turned her head back to Olivia and the fire.

"I didn't. Anyway, walk." She looked back at Amanda. "He's probably still there. Second floor, I think. Right on the way!"

Boris kept walking.

"But I don't want to be some sniffling chick who needs some 'manly' guy's help because I'm too afraid to go to the Wing alone."

"But he's not manly. Now go."

"Fine.. Cya Liv!" Amanda raced off, coughing.

"Cover your mouth!"

There was something nagging at the back of Olivia's mind. Somewhere else she was supposed to be. Sadly, she couldn't remember.

Her mind trailed off to other matters. "I wonder why there's been no pudding since the year started? It's sort of weird... Although, I have been getting there later than I did last year... But then again, the bowl wasn't even there... That really sucks! Stupid house elves... I should go over there and ask why it isn't there... tomorrow... I wonder if Amanda got to the Hospital Wing? Probably... I'm so glad she's found someone! Of course, she's in denial... Now it's just Kels and I... Wait, no, there was..."

"Uh-oh."

"Okay, think fast. Chair, emotional human... chair... human... chaaaaair.... huuuuuumaaaaan..."

"Damn it! Too difficult!" She looked around the common room, and spotted her saviour for the time being. "Hey, you!" she called to some random fourth year.

The fourth year looked at her with disdain. "What do you want?"

"Guard this chair! WITH YOUR LIIIIIIFE!" Olivia went over to him, grabbed him by the arm, and threw him into the chair. Well, sort of - more like towards the chair. Then, she ran out.

Zaara had finished unpacking her belongings and put them all in her trunk at the end of her new bed in her new house in her new school in her new world. She had been sent to Hogwarts not only for discipline, but because her father, Bruce Aazami, was a wizard. The day she had screamed out a spell in normal school was when her teachers knew there was something wrong with her. They sent her home, and a letter was in the mail from Hogwarts School of Wizardry.

Bruce Aazami had been to Hogwarts ever since his first year at the school, and had decided that his daughter Zaara go there (late) and finish up to learn more about her abilities. Zaara, however, thought Hogwarts was a huge joke. She had thought the "spell" she had screamed out in the middle of math class was just a made up word, but it had turned a fellow classmate into a desk.

Zaara had taken the train on the platform Nine and Three Quarters to this school, and the train ride had been boring. Mostly, Zaara had stared out the window and thought what the school was going to be like, and if she would make any friends. In her previous, Muggle life, she didn't have very many friends, seeing as she was diagnosed with ADHD and schizophrenia, thus causing many problems with any sort of relationships.

When the train had arrived, Zaara found her way to Hogwarts, but had to take a small boat to get there. She was put in a chair and the Sorting Hat was placed on her head. With her twisted sense of humor and twisted thoughts about dark things, she was put into the house of Slytherin.

Zaara sighed and sat on her bed, remembering the last few hours. A prefect had led her into her house, and handed her a map. Zaara felt around for it in her robe and studied it. She decided to head to the common room to see if there was anything interesting going on. Plus, she was hungry.

Olivia ran in, and looked to check to see if her chair had been re-stolen...

As Zaara carefully walked into the common room, she was slammed into by a great force, practically knocking her over. "Whoa!" Zaara exclaimed. She successfully caught herself before slamming onto the floor, then looked up to see who had pushed her.

She stopped, turned around, and shouted, "WATCH IT!" Then she turned around again and kept walking, trying to see past other groups and furniture to see if that two-faced bitch had taken her chair again.

Zaara frowned. "Humph." She rolled her eyes, brushed off her robe with her hands, and continued her little journey. The common room had many chairs and shelves with lots of thick books, which couldn't possibly hold the genres Zaara was interested in--Could they? She quickly walked over to the nearest shelf and looked at the available books. They were mostly books on the subjects taught here--The dark Arts, Herbology, Potions, Flying and Care of Magical Creatures...

Zaara shrugged, picked out the book on the Dark Arts, settled on the nearest sofa and began to read, minding her own business. She had a feeling no one was going to talk to her, and that was fine, as she had never been a social person anyways.

Olivia looked back at the girl she'd run in to. "She's sort of odd-looking... What's with her make-up?" She sat in her chair, which according to the non-responsive fellow author, wasn't reclaimed by Amy.

Olivia was sitting in her chair criss-cross-applesauce style, tearings bits of parchment off of her failed Potions assignment and throwing them into the green-hued fireplace, watching them glow and shrink away into ashes.
