Stairs to the dungeons.

Serenity was sitting on these steps, staring down them and crying. Selia was walking by up at the top of the staircase.
"Worthless second rate idiot," Serenity sniffled, causing Selia to look over and circle around to go sit by her sister. "Why are you crying," Selia asked quietly, plopping on the same stair as Serenity and handing her a tissue. "It's nothing, go away."

It wasn't a sibling of the year moment.
"Get out of here! You can't even hold onto your own boyfriends. Leave me alone!" Serenity ended up yelling, their voices echoing up and down the staircases.
Now Selia was crying too. "Leave me alone! You don't care about me! You don't care about anybody but your own friends and your stupid crushes!"
"Shut up! You don't even know me. Why didn't you make an effort to be a good sister earlier, when, I don't know, we were having a good life?"
"Cause you were, and still are, a total bitch! Don't talk to me-nobody wants a sister like you anyways!" Selia ran off.

Kelsi skipped down these stairs, since it WAS the way down to the Hufflepuff Common Room, and came across Serenity. "... I just saw your sister cry- you too?" Kelsi dropped next to Serenity. She held the letter tightly in her hands, and stared at Serenity sadly. "You okay?"

"I'm fine. Perfect, in fact. I just butt into things."

"So? That's what a normal, extremely curious person does. Why does it bother you so much, all of a sudden?"

"Well, Rachel got a love note," She explained miserably, "and that note from Elroy, and I was there both times, and I just put myself into it. I'm just worthless, and I'm making it worse by trying to push into things. They're for her. I have nothing to do with it. I just sort of wish that he had written me, or something, but I know that she was the one who made an effort in the first place."

Kelsi sighed. "So... technically you're a bit jealous?"

"Extremely. And then Selia comes down here and just makes everything worse."

"You made her really sad. I past her just now and she was in tears. I... Hey, Serenity, do you think you might be liking... Oh, nevermind. Hey, I bet he's just really curious about it all. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get a love letter."

"I could care less about Selia! She's a defenseless grub, and a total brat! I hope she IS crying!"

Kelsi didn't answer. She just stared at the floor silently. "..."

Serenity crossed her arms. "Whatever."

Olivia passed them walking to the common room. "Hey guys, bye guys."

"Hi, Liv."

"See ya." Kelsi waved at Olivia. "... Serenity, it's okay, I mean it sucks that you're jealous and all, but...try to forget it for the rest of the day? Maybe you should try writing to him instead."

"Alright. Alright... Sure."

"Yeah. Okay, I'm going to get my stuff for class, okay?"

"Alright. Bye Kelsi. Thank you.

"Bye, Serenity."

"Alright." Serenity got up and went to potions.
