Serenity was standing in a shower, enjoying the warm feeling of the water going over her head. It was so nice to just relax, not worrying about the rest of the world...
But she did worry about the rest of the world. Contrary to her attitude, she was aware of the growing prejudice against anyone not pure-blooded, and even more aware of the danger from Death Eaters and You-Know-Who. The two Rosensteel daughters, after Regina had died, were both half-veela. It was a bit hard to notice, unless you knew, but nearly the whole school had known, it wasn't some big secret.. Until now. Serenity wished she had kept it a secret. Her and Selia's special card membership to some of the shops in Diagon Alley had recently ended suddenly, for no reason. Some people, mainly Slytherins, stayed away from her in the hallways. It was sort of strange, to be afraid because you were yourself. Serenity suddenly realized how the African American people in America felt, during the times that segregation and the Ku Klux Klan was still around.
Temporarily, she let the topic off her mind, and enjoyed the shower.
