Tall, Lone Tree by the Shrieking House

Amanda leaned aginast the tree, fishing her chocolates out of the bag she got from the Candy Shop. The magical taste immediately warmed her body, partially wiping all bad emotions away from her. Amanda sighed contently for the few moments of serenity she had. Then is all came crashing down on her. She started to softly speak aloud to herself, "I may not be important, but I can be strong. I'll be... the beam holding up my few friends. Not the one breaking them apart..."

Amanda made her way away from the tree, a bit of color back in her face. Not from the cold, but from joy. She had finally figured out what to do with herself.

"Amanda, my love!" Wallace frolicked over to her.

Amanda took a step back, trying to process the glowing blob of joy frolicing her way. "I guess this means we're together?"

"Well, aren't you blunt?" He stopped, frowning. "You're not mad at me?"

"I passed that stage while I passed my emo stage," Amanda said with a shrug, "I was never mad at you, I was mad that I kept pushing you away and I couldn't get you back."

"You've passed that stage?" he said in disbelief. "Well, good! You could have just come and spoken to me, though, instead of avoiding me for so long."

"You were avoding me!"

"Speak up?" He winked. Glint.

"You." Amanda pointed to him. "Were. Avoiding." Amanda then pretended to push herself away. "Me." Insert Amanda pointing to herself.

"What kind of nonsense are you speaking? The mist from the evaporating rain must be going to your head." Wallace took her by the hand and began leading her back up the hill. "It's getting rather late, shall we?"

Amanda looked away quickly to hide herself blushing. He's holding my hand! "We shall!"

His hand was unusually cold. And rather clammy.

Amanda's was warmer than normal since it had been in her jacket pocket, so the two tempuratures clashed to make a normal warmth.
