Outside of the Shrieking Shack

Rachel stood outside the shrieking shack, about twenty or so feet away from it, gazing it. "I wonder if it's still haunted," she said to herself.

Kelsi stood there sucking on a lollipop she got from Honeydukes. She was leaning against the run-down fence that was drowning in snow, and her arms were leaving marks in the snow. She was staring at the shrieking shack. Like, lost in thought.

She kept staring. And nothing was really going on in her mind. She was mostly just humming some random song.

Libby walked up to Kelsi, her Hufflepuff scarf tied messily around her neck and a hat thrown haphazardly onto not-brushed hair. She had been so excited for Hogsmeade that she hadn't stopped to properly get ready. "Hey, whatcha lookin' at?"

"That." Kelsi said while pointing at the Shrieking Shack.

"It's so creepy!" she said with a shiver.

"It is," Libby stared at it, too.

"Eh, well, one time last year I thought I saw a face in it."

Rachel came over. "I just had a fight with a salesperson," she said casually. "And I spat on her counter."

"Holy shiz, Rachel! Why?!"

"Because she was being rude to me."

"And you spat at her?!"

"Well, I didn't spat directly ON her..."

"Rachel!"

"What?"

The cloak lady rushed passed them, her store closed with a lunch sign in front of it. She mumbled some curse word at Rachel and continued on her way.

Kelsi burst out laughing.

"What!?"

"N-nothing!"

"WHAT!?"

"NOTHING! It's just, well, that was hilarious!"

"Well then, why didn't you say so?"

"Hey, there is a group of students gathering over the Hogs Head. I'm gonna go check it out!"

"WAIT!"

"What?"

"... Well, let's go!" Kelsi ran off and grabbed Rachel's hand on the way.
