Clocktower

Karin was up there, in the clock tower, looking down at the world, thinking. She wasn't with Antonio at the time, she she wasn't the main focus of her thoughts. Suddenly, she had a revelation.

She had no one else in the world but Antonio. He was her only friend. Other then that, she had no one.

Karin had basically sold her soul to the Devil.

Karin heard the bell ring in the background, far off towards the school, and sighed. Time for class. Maybe she didn't have to talk to Antonio in it.

With that final thought, she left the clocktower and began to walk back towards the castle.

Amanda stood at the top of the Clock Tower, staring at the night sky. She felt like just sleeping, and then waking up from this nightmare. It seemed everything was about to end. Already half of the Seventh Years were dead, and for every one that died was two Death Eaters to take this place. It's over... Amanda saw crowds of midnight black cloaked, Death Eater blobs coming across the back trail from the woods to the school. She looked at her wand and shot rapidly into the crowd, whispering Incendio at first then Stupfeying as many as she could.

And a few spells were shot back.

Amanda fell through the little hole which the the passage ended. "Ouch!" She quickly scrambled out of the way. "Olivia, watch out! It's a gross drop!"

"What do you mean by a-- OOF!" Olivia fell out as well. "... Weird terminology."

A Death Eater was there, pressed against the wall. He had his robes pressed against his side, but the blood was visible and was dripping down from his hands. "Help.."

Amanda gasped, but looked him up and down. "Who did ... this? And why should we help you ?"

Olivia drew her wand. "Since when is dueling so gory?"

Amanda whispered to Olivia, "Let's just hear him out."

He lifted a hand. "Because... we..." he sighed and lifted his head. "We're all... beings."

"That's it?... You're master killed my parents. Why would I care about any of you scum?"

Olivia sighed. "Give it a rest, Ama--" She stopped herself before giving away Amanda's identity any further. "Uh, what was the healing spell?"

He paused. "T-that's... true."

"... It's episkey."

A pause. "I'm likely to mess it up, you should..."

He smiled. "Don't try to stop destiny.. This is what I have to head to. You two don't waste your time here. Go do something useful. I don't want you to have the burden... of... seeing this..." he coughed a bit, and smiled weakly at them. "Go on, now."

Amanda straightened up a little. "Sir, if you don't want to die slowly and in pain..."

"There's been too many deaths already..." Olivia remained silent, wand at the ready.

Amanda kneeled by him, and took off his mask, throwing it aside. "I wouldn't want to die with that on... Sir, the pain you are going through must be unbearable. Do you...want us to...?" Why am I asking a man if he wants us to kill him? Is this what is has come to?... Wait. I'm being kind to a Death Eater...

He raised his eyes. "You're very pretty. You should get out of here."

What the... did this dude just call me pretty... "...We came here to be safe and do something." Amanda left his side and went to the window, beginning to shoot spells at random bunches of Death Eaters that were just appearing.

Olivia leaned against the wall next to the open passageway. "When is this going to end?"

As Olivia spoke, Amanda shot another round of fire spells down. "Until Harry and Voldemort face each other."

"How long will that be?"
