Apartment Complex (Amsterdam)

"Who do you talk with?"

"Some of Chuck's old mutual friends. We get along alright."

"Who's Chuck? Wait- Charlie?"

She nodded. "Yeah, it's sorta... not as fun anymore. That boy could dance like a... an analogy."

Boris frowned. He then nodded slowly. "Well, I'd love to go out with you to one of those parties some time. It'd be really fun. but first we've got to fix this hell hole. Get off that ass of your's and get working. I can't believe, me, a guy has to step up to tell you this. When was the last time you spoke to a friend?!"

"It's what, four?" Olivia thought for a moment. "About twelve hours ago."

"What're they doing, not helping you? And I mean a real friend. Not your lame drunk friends."

"Oh. Last month-ish."

"No wonder. Well, stop sitting. Do you know cleaning spells?"

Olivia was still standing outside the door of the apartment. "Yeah. I suck at spells, though."

"Everybody learns at their own pace." He grabbed her and entered the apartment, and began cleaning stuff up. "This is screwing up my dignity, you're gonna owe me after this."

"Some German from high school's offering to clean up my apartment? Sure, why not." Olivia went back to sitting on the bed, rubbing her aching feet. Those heels were WAY too small.

"Hey, I'm Italian! And get off that bed, damnit. You're so annoying. Seriously, grow up. You're what, now? Nineteen? Twenty?"

"Are you? I'm... okay, it's 2000, that means -" She paused to count on her fingers. "Twenty. Almost twenty-one."

He nodded slowly. "That's cool. And yes, I am. I'm Pure-blood Italian." he glared at her. "We've been friends since you were in first year, and you never knew that."

"I just assumed because of the whole "nazi" thing... WAIT! Isn't Boris a Russian name?"

"My parents wanted to call me after some rich Russian Pure blood."

"So that voids the entire nickname, doesn't it?"

"Really, I don't know why you called me that. I guess because I was so prejudice when I was younger, and I called you minor all the time- which I still do."

"Nah, I think I was just... That was my mentally-challenged phase."

"You're more mentally challenged now than you were back then."

"Says you!" she snapped.

"Excuse me? I have perfect control over all the substances I intake, I'm successful- living in a large apartment in the outskirts of London. And oh, look at you!" He was grinning jokingly now. He nudged her in the elbow. "C'mon, get back up. Stop talking. We've got to help you."

"When is bug season going to end?"

He glared at her. "Stop stalling, Olivia..."
