Olivia was standing next to the stove, monitoring said pot, which was now full of water slowly rising to a boil. "Making macaroni."

Rachel nodded with approval. "Good. I thought you broke something."

"Nope," she answered quickly. What was the welcome mat doing in front of the kitchen sink?

"...All right then. I'll be going back to bed then." And she slowly made her way upstairs, taking many backwards glances.

Once Rachel was out of sight and thus out of mind, Olivia exhaled. "Thank God, she didn't notice..."

Olivia stepped on the aforementioned mat while straining the boiling water into the sink. There was a crunching noise.

"AHA!" Rachel came running back in, with mad (as in insane) a look on your face. "So you DID break something!"

"No!" she denied, turning on her heel. The rug went with it, revealing the corner of a shattered piece of a rather expensive-looking plate. "Not at all!"

Rachel gasped at the sight of it. She was staring at it blankly for about twenty-seven seconds before exploding.

"THAT WAS MY MOTHER'S!" she screeched, her face turning as red as her hair. "OLIVIA! YOU BETTER GET A JOB, PAY FOR IT, OR I'M GOING TO KICK YOU OUT!"

"LOOK! I can glue it back together! It'll... Wait! We're witches! This is nothing, right!?" she stammered in a desperate attempt to save her hide. Useless, right?

Useless indeed. "That doesn't matter! I bet you don't even USE magic, anymore!" she shouted. "Listen Olivia, I'm serious. Get a job or get out."

"Sure I do! I mean, just yesterday I used it to fix my shoe after -- walking! A very long way! From..." She thought for a moment. "The grocer! Where I just applied for a job! Yes."

Rachel raised an eyebrow. "The grocer? You mean the one in town?"

"The one over that hill."

"...Fine then."

"Right next to the U.F.O.," she murmured to herself, turning back to her steaming pasta.

"What's that?"

"Nothing!"

"...Your job is nonexistent, isn't it?"

"No! Yes! No, no."

Rachel was sitting on the couch, looking very annoyed. She was waiting for Olivia to come in the house.

It was around midnight by the time she finally returned, barely able to stand. She was cackling like the more stereotypical ladies of their bloodline.

"...Where the hell were you?" she asked quietly.

Olivia looked at Rachel. Her eyes were glazed over. "I was... at the store!"

"LIES!" she screeched, jumping up on the couch dramatically, while throwing the magazine at her. "Where were you?! Tell the truth, now!"
