The magazine hit her square in the face. "... Ow!"

"Seriously. Where were you?"

"I just went to have a drink, that's all, nothing more... You're standing on my bed." Apparently, she had not returned to the chicken coop.

"You're completely drunk, wasting our money when we can offered to waste anything, eating our food, and disrupting my animals..." She voice grew louder, and firmer with each word. "...AND YOU REFUSE TO GET A JOB! WHY DON'T YOU JUST GET OFF IF YOU'RE GOING TO MOOCH OFF OF ME!!" she screamed.

"Get off of what? You're the one on something! On my bed!"

"NO!" shouted Rachel. "I'm in my HOUSE on my COUCH, that I BOUGHT AND PAID FOR, NOT THE CHICKEN COOP!" Finally, Rachel just seemed to blow up. "WHY DON'T YOU JUST GET UP IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE SO USELESS?!"

"I'm up!" Olivia motioned to her feet. "I'm... I'm standing!"

"I don't mean like that." she growled. "I mean get off of my property, and buy your own apartment."

Olivia stared at Rachel. Her eyes were beginning to droop shut. "Why... Why don't I?"

"Yes, why not?! It's a great idea, isn't it?!"

"It is! It is, Rachel!" Olivia slung her jacket back over her shoulder. "I'll just gather my things, then, and... And go do that! Yes!"

"Yes yes yes!" cheered Rachel. "Why don't you go right now?! The world is waiting for you!"

"I shall! Thank you, Rachel!"

And like that, she was gone. Out into the world, drunk as a sailor, without a penny to her name.

That afternoon, the day after the wedding, Rachel and Sophia were sitting at the kitchen table, coloring and drawing together, while James was in his bedroom taking his nap.

Sophia (who was sitting on an encyclopedia to reach her piece of paper) had a brown crayon grasped tightly in her little hand was coloring the family's cat, Rocky. She carefully drew on two little triangles for ears, and she looked down happily at her work.

"What do you think?" she asked Rachel, holding up the piece paper.

Rachel looked up from her picture of a flower, and smiled at it. "It looks lovely, Honey. Who's it for."

"Daddy." Sophie answered.

"Oh, I bet he'll love it!"

"Yeah!" She grinned excitedly, and she began to color again, more carefully then ever.

She was a pretty child. She had chubby red cheeks, covered in freckles from being outside so often. Her red hair had been carefully plaited into two braids by Rachel that morning, and she wore a little light blue dress.

Sophia looked back up at Rachel.

"Mommy?"

"You look tired."

"Oh, my head hurts a little. It has an ouchie."

Sophie gasped a little. "Do you want me to kiss it?"

Rachel smiled at her scared reaction. "I think that would make everything all better!"

And so it did.

Kelsi arrived at Rachel's place, knocking madly on the door.

And Rachel answered it.

Rachel answered it so quickly, so Kelsi had to withdraw herself before she hit Rachel in the face. "Hey, what's up? We haven't seen each other since the Wedding, so I decided to come over for a surprise visit!"

Rachel seemed relieved. "Oh, that's all! By the sound of your knocking, I thought there was an emergency or something!" she exclaimed. "But come in."

Kelsi smiled warmly. "Oh, nothing's wrong." she said and entered. "Wow, it's cold, isn't it?! And it's almost New Years.."

(I thought it was summer. o3o But okay!)

"Yes, I'm excited though! I always look forward to the New Year-more chances to do what you want." she chatted. "Oh yeah, Sophia is up and about, if you want to see her."

"Oh, please!" Kelsi said laughing, and followed Rachel. "Where is she?"

"Oh, in the kitchen, coloring!" She with a laugh.

When they entered into the room, Sophia looked up at Kelsi, and her whole face lit up. "HI MS. KELSI!" she screamed. She then bolted over and tackled hugged her in the stomach.

Kelsi doubled over, laughing loudly, and picked up Sophie. "Hey, sweetie!" she yelled back, and hugged her. "Wow, you've grown so much! You're becoming a beautiful little lady!" she said laughing.

Sophia tugged on Kelsi's pant leg, still smiling. "Come color with us, even though Mommy's drawing is like silly!"

Rachel looked slightly offended. "No it's not!"

"Yes it is! The petals are bigger then all the rest!" She argued back.

"Someone's acting cheeky." mumbled Rachel.

Kelsi laughed. "Hey, hey, it's fine. I color pretty badly too!"
