Common Room

Bore was reading. [/more of a litfail]

[YOU GO KELSI. FAIL MORE THAN ME. PLZ.]

She looked over at him. "Wut'cha readin'?"

"A book,"

"What's it about?"

"Stuff,"

"I found it in my brother's dorm, on the front page it had this one name written all over it. I think he tried to get rid of it, because there are all these burnt marks and wet, smudged spots on it. But I definitely know it starts with an S..." Bore explained.
"It's a rather crappy book, though."

"What's it called? ._."

[... *thinks* I'm an idiot, what's the book!?]

"Percy Jackson and the Olympians," Bore shrugged, as if it were ridiculous, and he closed the book without bothering to mark his page. He set it on the bedside table and watched Olivia.
"How's all that Manga going?" he asked politely and shifted his weight in his seat.

(Hey, can we have a day of classes now?)

[*dies laughing* LOL!]

"I finished all of the ones I had... Eh, glad the year's over." She was picking at her thumbnail absentmindedly.

"Yeah, I'm glad too. It's gonna rock to get back to the cabin in the mountains."

"Yep, and it'll be great to get back to the 130-Fahrenheit island."

The crackling fire cast shadows on the two armchairs of Bore and Olivia. It formed shapes that disappeared as fast as another shape took over it. The red flames rose up into the air, dissolving into ash that settled at the bottom of the fire. It cracked and snapped in the fireplace and really warmed up the room.

Bore was still watching Olivia intently.
"Oh, is it really that hot?" he asked.

"It was last year."

"Ouch, It would be painful standing on stone..."

"That's why we're pretty much hermits in the summer. Unless we have company. Really, though, s'not that bad if you're used to it."

Bore nodded slowly.


AND HUZZAH, T'WAS A DAY OF CLASSES.

Liv skipped in and landed in her usual chair, smiling away. Then, the firstie handed her a piece of paper, which she gladly took and threw it into the fire. The firstie skipped away, laughing.

Bore stared.
"You do know you just threw in your own homework?"

She froze for a second, then shrugged. "Oh well, last day. GUESS WHAT? "

Bore looked up from his bag in which he was packing.
"What?"

"ELROY AND SERENITY GOT LOCKED IN A CLOSET! And, I talked to Diggory." She was wondering why he was packing in the common room. =w=
