BEGINNING OF THE YEAR FEASTIVE!

Carmen strutted up to the stool and settled on it proudly. There wasn't a speck of fear on her face. Only her skin was a tad paler than usual, but otherwise she seemed quite relaxed and cool.

[[She's Gryffindor.]]

"I'm Kathrine Sawyer's older brother," he told her.

"GRYFFINDOR!"

"...Oh..." and she scooted away from him. She was right: he DID seem scary afterall. But, at least he didn't look like a rapist. But nonetheless, she scooted away from him.

Carmen pulled the hat off and handed it to the thin-lipped creepy lady.
She skipped down to the Gryffindor table, and settled next to Maya. She slapped Maya on the back in a friendly manner- although it WAS quite strong.
"We're together!"

"Yes. Thank goodness," she said primly, dusting a piece of pie off a plate.

Carmen grinned proudly.
"Anywho, what now?"

"Sawyer, Kathrine!"

Kathy went up to the stool, looking quite nervous indeed. She sat on the stool, and pulled the hat on her head.

"RAVENCLAW!"

Kathy gave the hat to McGonagall, and stumbled over to the Ravenclaw table.

Andrea clapped and cheered. Kathrine was in her house!
"KATHRINE! Over here- I saved a spot! "

Serenity was staring at the sky, looking startled like she was about to cry her heart out. She was also mumbling something incomprehensible.

Kathrine sat beside Andrea. "Hey," she said quietly. Everyone was cheering for her. It felt... weird.

"I'm starved. My brother told me that there was tons of food every day. Even more for feasts, so I'm quite excited."

Rachel looked up quickly to snag at look at Kathy. "He had a little sister!?" she said outloud, staring at the little girl. Well, she sure looked like her brother, but, she seemed to be the polar-opposite of him.

(Boredom... ._.)

Andrea glanced at Rachel.
"Ohai, Ray! Meet Kathrine." She beamed at Rachel, before turning back to Kathrine.
"Hey, are you excited for the classes?"


Kelsi just stared into space for the rest of the ceremony. Normally she's interested in this stuff, but at the moment she was too hungry to pay attention.

"Hi Andrea, hi Kathy," said Rachel automatically. "And yeah, sure. I guess, I mean, it's a new year, and well, yeah..." She seemed to keep on stealing glances at Kathy.

"We are opposites. It's really weird," Kathy said.

"So er, what else is new?" she asked, trying to bring up some sort of casual conversation.

(Kay, can the feast begin now?)

And so, the feast began.

Huge bowls of yam and potatoes and stirred vegetables formed through thin air. Enormous roast hams, oven-cooked chicken, and other meats morphed within seconds. Puddings, pies, and tons of other foods appeared within a blink. Before you could say, "Bon appetite," the Great Hall was engulfed in the delicious scent of feastive foods.

And so, Rachel grabbed a little bit of ham, (especially a lot of ham and sweet potatos) and she dug right in. She was starving now, and she had waited a long time for this. So, she was going to enjoy it!

Kelsi, being the hog she always was at feasts, took everything she could find in sight. Except for the ham. And man, she munched on everything with utter delight and excitement, it was all too good!

And so, she ate. And stuff.

And stuff.

Serenity had grabbed....
Five different potatos!
Four full sized steaks
Three cooked hens,
Two jars of barbeque sauce,
and a half a tray of Bouillabaisse!
And was currently in the process of eating it all as fast as she could.

(Lawl, lets just skip to getting unpacked and stuff.)

Kelsi left the Great Hall and ran ahead from the first years to her common room.
