Classroom on the Fifth Floor...

Serenity opened the door slightly, peering in. Her hair was in two pigtails, no makeup on, and she was in her nightgown. It was one of the only items in her wardrobe that was pink- that day the store was out of blue silk. She shuffled into the room, half-whispering "Angel..?"

[HOW WAS THAT FOR SHORT LITERACY?]

Angel was there, indeed. He was doing something rather... unlike something he might do, though. He had his head on the table with his arms folded around it, the book was lying open in his lap, and he was asleep.

[lovely.]

Serenity smiled, and went over to the table quietly, bare feet not making a sound- she was glad she hadn't bought the bunny slippers that squeaked when you walked-, and she sat down with her head sitting on top of her arms, staring at him and trying not to smile too much. It might shake the table.

And Angel didn't stir.

Of course he didn't, because Serenity smacked him over the head with an anchor.

Serenity petted his hair, wishing he slept more often.

Angel turned his head to face her, his pupil-less, pale blue eyes staring at her, half open. "..."

"Good morning, Angel," Serenity said, smiling.

"Morning?" Angel mumbled. He closed his eyes again.

"Figure of speech. Go on back to sleep, you've got a long time left." Serenity patted his head, trying not to grin. He was so ... disoriented. It was laugh-worthy. And cute.

"... What time is it?"

"About ten. Nighttime." [Yes. I understand there's a time difference.]

He didn't respond.

"Are you asleep again," Serenity whispered, putting down her head on the table, eyes and forehead sticking out. "Or are you just trying to get up?"

"..."

"Go ahead, I'll wake you up if someone comes in." In fact, Serenity was starting to close her eyes too.

"Hm...?"

"Shh. Go to sleep, Angel. Don't worry about it."

"..."

Serenity started playing with his hair again, not really worrying about the discomfort she could cause him. The hair was so soft, so it was more important than a little discomfort. Pretty...

Angel was pretty much unconscious, so he didn't notice.

Serenity, noticing no obvious movements, started-full out playing with it. Playing with a boy's hair was a rare experience, because not many were willing to give up their mops on top of their heads to a girl's hands, and even rarer the pretty black hair of the guy you liked.

And Angel kept on sleeping, oblivious to the potential damage that could be caused in this situation.

Serenity didn't even think of makeovers, for once. She was happy to sit there and have something to do with her hands- Kelsi couldn't put her hands in Drew's hair, could she, now? Olivia had nobody. At the moment, Serenity felt like the luckiest girl in the world.

Until she fell asleep, head down in her arms on the table, identical to the person next to her.

[Awwwwwwwwwwww.]

And Angel slept on.

And so did Serenity.
