Serenity woke up the next morning, hair intact because it was in pigtails, about three inches from Angel's face. She was a little worried at first- What the hell am I doing here? But quickly remembered the details of her midnight walk.

Angel was awake now. He was sitting up properly in the chair, reading a few pages from where he left off. "Good morning, Miss Rosensteel~"

"Mffffffff...." Serenity put her head back down, getting a headache.

"Alright, then." He smiled and looked down at the book again.

"MMMMMMMMMPPPPPPHHHHH....... Briiiiiiiiiight.."

"Well, it is ten."

"Well, it's too early," Serenity groaned, rolling off the chair and bumping her head.

"Are you alright?" he continued monotonely.

"Of course I'm alright! You know what, you're only interesting when you're asleep! It's pitiful! You're like a really cute statue! It's difficult to hold a conversation, okay?"

He looked at the book again. "... Sorry."

"Apologize to yourself. You're flat as a three day old opened can of sprite."

"... I hear you're, ahem, dating Charles?"

Serenity perked up. He wasn't jealous, but it was a start. "Maybe."

"Maybe."

"Well, so what if I am? He's interesting."

And so Serenity stood up. [Going to get her to leave. -.-]

"Congratulations, then."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN CONGRATULATIONS?! I GO THROUGH ALL THIS DAMN TROUBLE TO MAKE CHUCK THINK I F****ING LIKE HIM, JUST TO MAKE YOU JEALOUS, AND YOU TELL ME CONGRATULATIONS?!" Her voice went up an octave. "SO YOU DON'T EVEN CARE?!"

Angel started laughing.

"ANGEL ILLUMINATION, DON'T LAUGH AT ME!" Serenity gave him one of the scariest glares ever.

"S-sorry! It's just that you're terrible at stuff like this!"

"No I'm not! It was a perfect plan! Rachel even said so! The only thing that didn't work was you getting jealous! And you're sitting here laughing!"

"It was still obvious. I mean, I (and most everyone, for that matter; not that they were involved in the slightest) know that, under completely normal circumstances, you would never date Charles if he was the last man on earth, metaphorically, UNLESS you were trying to make me jealous. Which, I really don't see why that would be necessary."

"It's necessary because you never talk to me unless I do something stupid!"
