Filch's Office

Filch settled in the chair behind his office. Filch began to stare at both of them. Like, actually stare.


Sam stared back.

Matt stared at his knees, shaking, and whimpering slightly.

A piece of dung slid down Filch's forehead and toppled onto the desk.
"...Well. You two will be spending some time with me."

"...That's all?"

"Oh, there's more to it. You see, I've always wanted a bit of a break..."

"Huh?"

"Of course, you two'll be working to the bone. I've already got a few students doing jobs on the sixth and fifth floor. But I'm sure that the sub-levels and dungeons would be perfect for you two..." Filch said with a smirk.

"Um, Mr Flich, uh sir, what exactly ARE we doing...?" asked Matt timidly.

"Oh, well, you'll be cleaning out the dungeons, mopping the sub-floor hallways, dusting the armors, pretty much everything."

"Oh, well I can do that..." said Matt quietly.

"...In the night. Because in the day you have class. But, of course, that means the rats come out, and it can get pretty dark and cold down there, but education always comes first."

"Oh, well..." he quietly nudged Sam, and whispered to him. "Hey! Maybe we can befriend the rats, and they can help us, like in the muggle fairy tale Cinderella!"

Sam nodded.
"Yeah!"

"Man, that's a GREAT idea of mine...!" he whispered cheerfully to himself.

Sam nodded and pretended to look disappointed.

"Uh, sir, can we be excused now?"

Filch nodded with a smirk.

"Meet me at the dungeons tonight."

"OK!" Matt than ran out of the office, with his normal smiling self back.

Sam followed Matt out.
"Dude, Filch isn't that bad!"

"Yeah, I mean really, cleaning!? Anyone can do that!"

"I know!" Sam began to laugh.
