New Cruise House

Kelsi went home for the holidays. She was in her room, reading some old neighborhood newspaper. Robin was on the bed, napping. Kelsi was pretty bored that one day, so, she just read.

Kelsi decided to send an owl to Libby.

Kelsi seriously didn't know why. Honestly, she was pretty nervous. She didn't want to seem stalker-ish. Well, it isn't. Then why did it feel like that? It's her best friend's home. she shouldn't feel weird. Most muggle TV series have the weird best friend enter the house at will, and feed out of the fridge at ease. But that's just... Kelsi wouldn't do that. It's too weird. No, she's here because she wants to see Drew. Talk with Drew. Go "hang out" with Drew.

"AGH! Why is it so AWKWARD?"

I can't even go to my best friend's house for another reason other than hanging out with her! How pathetic is THAT? she thought angrily. Well, it makes sense. I bet Drew'll be kind of freaked out. We hardly talked since June last year. Kelsi thought. She suddenly felt that she shouldn't go. It still wasn't too late to leave. She stood there for a few moments, in front of the fireplace still thinking.

"Honestly, Fry would do it all the time. With Holly, I mean. Not with Drew. EWWW MENTAL IMAGE!"

Kelsi paced around the room trying to shove the image out of her head. "Aww, I've lost five minutes! Okay. Okay. Be brave. Be bold... like Serenity. She'd definitely enter their house. No, she'd enter his ROOM. Angel's room, I mean. Not Drew's. AGH ANOTHER MENTAL IMAGE!"

Ally entered the room and stared at Kelsi. "WHAT are you doing?" she demanded.


"NOTHING!"

Ally glared at her sister piercingly. "Well, why do you look so frustrated?"

"I want to go to Libby's house!" Kelsi snapped angrily.

"So?"

"But it's not to hang out with her... I want to 'hang' with her older brother- BUT IT SEEMS SO WEIRD!"

"..." Ally burst out laughing. "Seriously?! It's not that bad..."

"But Ally, you don't get it! It's weird... I mean, I don't even KNOW what I'll say when I get there, and I didn't send an owl!"

"So?"

"What do I do?" Kelsi cried out. She crossed her arms and pouted. "It's giving me a migraine. Especially all the weird thoughts."

"What thoughts?"

"NOTHING. Just... you don't want to know."

"Yeah, I don't. Just go, you idiot. Stop being so anti-boy. They don't bite."

"EWWW ALLY!"

"Kelsi! I don't mean it that way, and technically it's the other way!"

"... Go away!"

"No you go away!"

"FINE! The brown household!" And thus Kelsi left. Through the fireplace. And only when she was spinning around did she realize she left.

[ouch.]

Kelsi was sending out her gifts.

Hey, happy holidays! I went home, so I guess I can't hang with you for Christmas... sorry! I at least got you some gifts!

Happy holidays! Guess what, I visited your brother! Not much happened, we talked, but it wasn't as awkward, so that's good. Hope your holidays are well, can't wait to see you in the new year.

~Tons of thin silver bracelets, some plain, and others that have small designs on them. Then there are matching silver earrings and matching silver necklace with small rinestones on them
~White chocolate powder-covered milky truffles with chestnut fillings

~Bright green leg-warmers fit over shoes, skates, anything. They're knit.
~A bright red journal with a golden fountain pen and the journal has it's own charmed lock with key.

Kelsi sat on her bed stairing at her stuff. What's with all the cloth things... she thought with a twinge of annoyance. And I hate cream puffs.

Stretched along her bed, Kelsi stared at the ceiling blankly. The window was open, letting in the hot boiling air and an even hotter breeze. Her dark eyes looked empty, and didn't reflect any light like they naturally did. Her lips had teeth marks in them- they were chapped, and she wasn't licking them to keep them moist. She hadn't taken a bath since they had gotten back from Hogwarts (two days ago), and was still in her pajamas. Her hair wasn't brushed and her side of the room was a mess. "What's the point, we're all going to die anyways." she muttered, and turned over to stare out of the window. On the train, she hadn't even bothered asking anyone to sit with her. Sure, she was overreacting. But now everything was on the roll. Death eaters all over the world are killing innocent muggles, muggle-borns are secretly disappearing without a trace, new unfair laws are being placed from the Ministry of Magic- pretty much proving that they've been infiltrated, and worst of all- Dumbledore's gone.

Robin entered the room- she looked well groomed. In fact, so well groomed that the moment she came home, she left for the hairdresser. Her long, just-past-the-butt long hair was chopped all away. She got almost two feet cut off, even redid her first year bangs that fell to her eyebrows. Back then, the bang style wasn't "in". Now, it's all over the fashion magazines. She stretched and her tank top pulled up with her shoulders. "My, a fire could start here, it's so hot..." She turned to Kelsi, and jumped onto her bed. "How long exactly are you going to sulk?" she whispered softly. Robin, now a fully-matured 17-year-old witch, had an expression of care and worry for a younger child. Her now layered and cropped hair fell over her shoulder just barely.

Kelsi looked down at Robin slowly. "I'm not sulking. I'm..." she breathed heavily.

"Look, everyone- I mean, everyone in the wizarding world is going through the same as you. Just, you're making it an even bigger deal."

Kelsi sat up. "You're just giddy that for once you're right, the old man snuffed it, right?! And what do you have to worry, you're not going to Hogwarts next year... You..."

"You're still going? Kelsi, Hell's literally broken loose. I reckon the moment you step into the wizarding world, you'll be pinned against a wall with a gun against- er, a wand against your temple."

"SHUT UP! Damn-it, Robin! I'm not going to give up like you, okay?! There are still good people out there! Think of Serenity, Libby, Olivia!"

"Don't forget Rachel, Amanda, er... Fry's blond friend of his..."

"He's so cute!"

"See? We just have to get you distracted, and you're in a good mood again. Quit this act of your's, will you? Go have a shower! Your hair's leaving grease marks on the pillow." Robin scolded and crossed her arms.

Kelsi stood up and held her head obstinately. "I happen to like grease marks on my pillows." she said stubbornly, and left for the bathroom. Within a few moments, you could hear the sound of shower water.

There was a sharp knock on the door...

Kelsi poked her head out of the shower. "Robin, can you get that? I'm too busy in the shower!"

Robin shook her head. "Too busy here!"

Andrea stepped into the hall. "I can get it!"

Robin sighed. "Sure, go answer. I'll be down in a minute."

Andrea skipped down the stairs and arrived at the door.

"GRAB HER!" yelled a voice and immediately a tall, buff looking man in a black cloak and mask immediately grabbed Andrea to tried to shove her out the door with them.

Andrea screamed out and pushed away, falling to the ground. She fell onto her back, and her elbow slammed against the floor, as she tried to pull herself up.

Robin who arrived at the staircase saw this all. She grabbed the stair rail, and her knuckles went white. Her shoulders began to shake, and her eyes got hidden by her bangs. She whipped out her wand and pointed it at the huge Death eater. "REDUCTO!" she screamed, and ran down the stairs. "Andrea! KELSI! GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!"
