Kelsi felt thuroughly embarrassed that she had been the only one who had forgotten to change. At least she was changed now.

Amanda was thinking.

WHy does it matter how people look at me? It can be bad, or good. Because I'm like, hot, or because I'm weird. I don't really get why it matters to change how I look just so I can be looked at WELL.

"Well, you never acted up in class." Rachel turned to stare at Olivia right in the eye. "Even when we were eight, you were always quiet and just hung out in the back of the class..."

Amanda's eyes were seeming to get a little watery.

"She always talked to me. I hated elementary school. Everyone always got my clothes dirty."

Amanda was silent.

"My parents took me and Karin out when I was in fourth grade. They said it was no good, so they home-schooled us instead."

"I wondered where you went..."

"My parents didn't care. But, I got a lot of boy experience."

"I'd care, if I was ever to have kids, I don't think I'd send them to a Muggle school first..."

"Oh, god, I hated school so much. I was such a little brat back then... No, really, I was. It's mortifying. I never had any friends, and everyone hated me. Even the teachers. And I hated everyone. And they always called my mom a terrorist. Just to annoy me."

"It got kinda boring after third grade 'cuz my brothers got to come here... It's like a replay of that now. Damn."

"I hated it too, Kels! Everyone was evil. EVERYONE. They called me a whore! Even though I was, it was rude! And NOBODY was my friend!"

"You still get called a whore."

"Shut up!"

"I hated school. It was my hell."


Robin mumbled something.


"What was that?"


"Hogwarts is my hell."

"I wanna LEAVE Hogwarts already!"

"I don't. I wanna ... I wanna....."

She sighed. "I don't know."

Robin looked at Rachel. "I do too. I just want to get out of here."

"I don't wanna leave."

"I wanna live in the moment." Amanda said, simply.

"That won't pay the bills, Amanda,"

"Hah! Good one, Rach. That was a smart statement."

"Inheritance."

"I said, I'm going to live in the moment of happiness and friends. I'm not going to think so seriously about the past or the future. Just NOW."
