Outside of Hagrid's Cabin

Kelsi stood out with her robes on, still chuckling, and taking bit by bit of the bread roll in her hands that Fry had thrown at her. It was really good.

Libby ran over. "Hey, Kels! Where'd you get the roll from?"

"My brother. He threw it at me when I laughed at him. He tried to shave! Oh, want some?"

"Sure!" Libby said brightly, and picked a piece off of the roll.

"I thought I had Herbology, but I guess not. Gosh, I hope this year'll be easy..."

"I doubt it. Gosh, I can't imagine what it'll be like in winter..."

"Oh, god! It's going to be freezing! Hmm, not a lot of students are here..."

"Maybe we got here early."

"No, the bell rang... I guess it never really was a popular class."

"Guess so..."

"Yeah... Whatever, you know? Hey, it's starting..."



Hagrid bustled out with bizarre things hanging from his arms. They looked like hairy fish. And kept flapping around. He dropped them on the large table, and they began bouncing around like Max's dancing. "Gather around, gather around, kids! These are Endrops. They need to have their teeth removed for the Hospital wing, because if the venom in them is filtered, it is actually a cure for several harmful animal bites, including the- Oh, write this down, write this down!" He began listing down some things. "Now, I need you to wear gloves, because if they bite into you- their teeth are very sensible, and won't puncture skin, but the venom WILL infect your skin."

Libby scribbled down notes and whispered to Kelsi, "Are these things legal? Should we really be handling stuff that can hurt us and... infect our skin? Removing teeth? My gosh."

"I don't know, I just wonder if it hurts them or not..." Kelsi slipped on the gloves, and grabbed a pair of tweezers for her and Libby. The two then proceeded in opening the mouths of the creatures.


Even though they kept moving around, their mouths stayed open. "... Disgusting..." Kelsi sighted, and grabbed hold of a tooth. It felt squishy, like foam, and she squeezed the tweezers. The tooth slipped right out of the gum.

"This is... euuuuwh," Libby pulled a tooth out, carefully, and set it down, ready to pull the next one out.

"I'm just scared to get infected.."

"I know. This is horrible. And this is only the beginning..."

"Hagrid sucks at being Care of Magical Creatures professor..." Kelsi whispered to Libby.

"I agree... but it looks like he's really trying to be a good professor, y'know?"

"I..." snap. "know... And, we're helping people with..." Kelsi looked at her list. Some of the bites of the animals were long, she just said, "Those." and pointed at the list.

"Gosh, and we have to do this right after lunch, too!"

"Ugh! And on day twos I have to cope with this, only with plants!"

"You mean Herbology?"

"Yes, Herbology... Hey, mine's teeth are allmost all gone."
