That one Staircase

Robin was leaning against the one staircase where her life began spinning to disaster. Until it got all fixed up. Her long hair fell over the stairs as she had her chin resting in her palm. She stared at the other staircases, and looked quite depressing. Why doesn't this bother Kelsi so much? Why do I have to be so sensitive? Robin sighed impatiently an shifted her weight to her other leg.

"Can't wait for this year to end... maybe then I'll be free..." Robin mumbled. She pulled out a piece of parchment and threw it over the stair rail angrily.

Robin turned around, and decided to head back to the common room.

Whoosh!

"AYAHAHA!" Jake shot down the staircase laughing insanely, until he toppled onto the ground laughing.

Selia was going down some stairs, hoping to find Holly or Fry, and saw Jake instead. She was about to pass him, but she turned around instead, planting a smile on her face. He's better than Antonio or Karin.
"Hey, Jake! My friends and I are going to Eric- the blonde short kid- well, we're going to his aunt's house this summer. She lives by the beach, and a couple of our friends aren't exactly being that great, so would you like to come?"

"The short blond kid? The one your steroid cat likes to rape?"

"Ahaha, yeah. Fluffy won't be going, if it makes you feel better. I'll bring some brownies, too. Please go? It'll be really fun, we'll go swimming and everything.."

"Bring the cat! I love the cat! And sure, I'll come. I'd have to ask my parents."

Selia laughed, swinging her bag back and forth. "Great. Of course I'll bring him. It's going to be great! I'll see you around, okay?" She turned around and went up the stairs.

Then, Jake continoed down the stairs. "WOOOO!"


Whoosh.

Selia turned at the top of the stairs to watch him go down, then made a split-second decision to jump on and slide after him. "Woo!" She yelled, a bit less enthusiastically.

Jake landed at the bottom and turned around. He quickly stepped out of the way as Selia tumbled down after him. He was grinning, and his eyes turned into small slits.

"Hah, sorry for rushing your turn," Selia said, after she had flown off the banister and gotten up. She brushed off her skirt. "Wanna go again?"

"Sure! You know, I think I don't have a life." he said as he ran up the stairs.

"I can help with that," Selia said, going up after him. "I mean, banister sliding's fun, but it's not exactly a fulfilling hobby. Why don't you hang out with my friends a bit more? Not Antonio and Karin.. But Eric, Fry, and Holly are nice."

"The girl and boy who snog in the hallways? No way, dude, those two hate my guts."

"They're really nice, you just have to apologize. I'm sure they're not that angry." Selia got up on the banister and slid down again. "WOO!"

Jake stretched. "I'm going back to the common room..."

"Alright, goodnight Jake! Remember to ask your parents about this summer."

"Totally!"

"Bye!" Selia went up the steps towards her dorm to go to bed- she felt much better about the whole day already.
