Nicolas had returned afterwards. He had finger-combed his hair, slightly, and made sure his clothes didn't look weird. Obviously he hadn't looked closely enough; his shirt was buttoned all crookedly.
Rather than starting his work, he just stared at it blankly. He didn't see the point in going to his dorm right away, like Rachel had; he needed time to think. And one of the things that immediately popped into his head was that Max would probably be jealous--Nicolas Sawyer, the short blonde kid, had grown up and done it with his girlfriend. In a closet. Elroy's closet. That made him smile.
No, it didn't cross his mind that he could have possibly gotten Rachel pregnant.
