Christmas.

Olivia was sitting at her table, staring discontentedly into the bowl of her usual pudding, which she had stolen from the Gryffindor table, since evidently Slytherin was no longer providing it. Except that, being Christmas and all, it was loaded with broken bits of peppermint stick. Phooey.

Rachel came downstairs in her PJ's and sat down looking depressed, despite the fact that it was Christmas. But, it wasn't like she had much to be happy about.

Olivia began trying to pick all of the little pieces out and flick them at people at the neighboring table, whichever one it is, because there seemed to be some sort of paradox where every table was right next to the other.

Rachel looked over and glared at Olivia. "Olivia! Stop it!" she barked. "You're getting stuff in my hair!" and she began pulled out the little pieces of peppermint stuck in her hair.

Olivia turned her head to look at Rachel. "Grr."

Rachel ignored her.

Olivia then threw a peppermint at Rachel on purpose.

Rachel turned to glare at her, and then reached over and grabbed an orange and chucked it at Olivia's head in response.

Olivia ducked. "Disproportionate retribution!" she shouted.

Rachel stared at her. "Wha...?" she raised her eyebrows, and then shook her head in confusion. "You're so weird..."

"Someone pokes you, you stab them in the gut with a rusty dagger." She sat up straight again. "Why're you so cranky?"

"No reason."

"Then be happy. Or at least... like... not emotional, if there's no reason for anything."

"But there is a reason!" she yelled. "Every time when someone says 'No reason' there usually is a reason silly!"

"Then what is it?"

"Um, well... do you PROMISE not to tell anyone?" Rachel ran over and plopped down next to Olivia, and took a hold on her shoulders and stared right in her eyes. "Do you PROMISE?"

"I promise!" Olivia nodded.

And so, Rachel whispered the whole situation and what happened and all that jazz into Olivia's ear.

And Olivia was appalled.

"Heh, yeah. That's pretty much it," And she attempted to make her great escape back to the Ravenclaw table.

"Why?"

"I DON'T KNOW!" And she ran back to the Ravenclaw table.

"... Ew."

Amanda sat besides Olivia. "HAPPPPPYYY CHRISTMAS!"

Olivia was staring into her pudding, her nose wrinkled. Being the sick minded little child she was, she was having some pretty nasty mental images of Rachel and Nicolas.
