A Lone Corridor, Away From Many Students

Fry leaned against Holly. He shook his head. "No! I don't want to. I refuse to. I'll beat him up- and he'll regret laying a finger on you!"

"I'm all for that, honestly. But can you do it AFTER this war in the castle is going on?" She pressed him against the wall. "Please, Fry. I don't want you to get hurt. Stay here. For me."

Fry stared hard at her. "I... oh.. fine." He stopped. But then, his eyes widened. He turned to the side of the hallway- screams were heard along with cries of justice. Spells were exploding around the end of the hallway. Fry, with a grunt, threw Holly into the classroom. But before he could get in himself, he got hit by one of the curses- a green one. Green light filled the hallway, but faded quickly. The group of people screaming passed by, soon fading away at the opposite end of the hall. Fry lay motionless on the ground, facedown.

(IS HE DEAD?!)

Holly slowly sat up. She froze when she saw Fry, unmoving. She tuned everything else out, and slowly, mind numb, stood up. When she took a step, she collapsed onto the floor, shoulders shaking violently.

This isn't happening, she was thinking to herself, trying to stop the tears building in her eyes. This isn't happening. No. Fry isn't dead. He just fell over, because he was ducking, and the shock made him pass out. Yeah! That's it!

But she knew that wasn't it, and broke down into hysterical sobs.

(Goodnight, Fry...)

Eric was reacting differently. He pushed off the wall, and screamed. "NOOO!" he fell to the ground, and pulled himself back up, and barely managed to run to Fry. "N-n-no! WAKE UP!" He was shaking Fry. "WAKE UUUUP!"

Holly, who was too hysterical to go see Fry, or Eric, leaned against the wall for support.

Eric shook his head. It wasn't worth trying. "Holly. What happens now?"

"I--I d-d-don't knoooow," Holly wailed, burying her face in her arms.

He then did something strange. He, too, began to cry.

Holly stared at him in wonder, once she heard that he, too, was crying. She weakly held her arms out for a hug.

And he hugged her. Tightly. He shouldn't cry, what is he doing?

Her hug was pretty weak. She didn't seem to care that he was crying, or that she was crying. She buried her face into his shoulder, leaking snot and such onto him.

He didn't really care, though.

Eric pulled away from Holly in their friendship hug. He wiped his eyes. "C'mon. We can't just stand here." he said in a robotic tone.

Holly nodded weakly. "I-I guess you're right." She wiped her face with her cloak sleeve, sniffling, and stood weakly. She held her head--it hurt from crying so hard. "Where'd Antonio go. I want to kill him."
