Some Staircase

"Oh, great!"

"Yeah. There is a list of names which is coming tomorrow."

"I hope the Cruises got out..."

Amanda blinked, not even thinking about that. "They are strong, they will have."

Olivia sighed.

"I want to be a clueless first year again."

"Amen."

"...Have you ever tried sliding down these banisters?"

"Yeah, back in like second year. I heard they took the charm off though."

"What charm?"

"That kept you from falling off."

"...I'm going to try it."

"Are you retarded?"

"I'll just do one flight!" Amanda was already sitting on the railing.

"You could at least go on a lower one! We're almost three stories up!"

"I'll be fine!" Amanda was about to unwrap her legs for the railing and let go.

"Don't do it."

Amanda went flying. She held on tight enough that she didn't like, fall flat on her face, but not tight enough that she didn't move. Her hair flew back behind her widly, the smile on her face resembling a little girl's.

Olivia rolled her eyes, leaning against the opposite railing and picking at a hangnail on her thumb.

Ten minutes later Amanda reappeared with a decent sized bruise on her arm. "That was awesome!"

"You're an idiot."

"So?"

"You could have gotten yourself killed."

"Why does it matter? I'm alive right now."
