Eventually, though, the grandpa won. Jake looked disappointed, and stood up. "... Well, are you going to give Selia a tour?" he asked.
The grandpa was done re-tying his dark blue silk robes and straightened up. He looked frail and old again, and smiled. He raised his cane at Jake, and bared his teeth. "Give her the tour! You invited her!" he hissed, and brought the cane down as Jake flinched away. He leaned on the cane and simpered back down the hill. Then, he stopped. "Oh, and since I won this duel, you owe me."
"Owe you what?"
"A piggy-back ride." He turned around with a wide toothy smile, his eyes closed up from the folds of skin climbing up his face.
Jake looked totally annoyed. "... Fine." And so, they all went down the hill to the house, the three of them. Selia and Jake, and Mr. Yashnid on Jake's back. He WAS small and wrinkled enough for that.
