Small Home in Japanese Seclusion

"Oh, but you taught me that one move, didn't you? Oh, that was absolutely excellent.. Oh. Is this it?" She stopped at a small house, and looked at Jake. And his grandpa.

The grandpa nodded, and made his way down. He leaned on his cane with one hand, and had his other hand on his back. "I'll go make some tea." he said, and slowly made his way into the kitchen.

Jake smiled widely at Selia. "Welcome to my grandpa's house!" he said happily, and bowed. "Oh, by the way, my family is arriving tomorrow. I'll show you around the house!"

"Alright," Selia said, nodding. "Let's go, then!" As soon as they were out of earshot of the grandpa, Selia started talking more. "Do I have to bow? I don't want to look stupid if I do it wrong.. Oh, and, your grandpa has hot-- uh- nice muscles."

"No! You don't. I just bowed... for fun." Jake shrugged, and he cringed when she said that. "That's horrifying."

"No it's not. Muscles are the new N-Sync."

Jake stared at Selia. His eyebrows were burrowed. "Sel, what did you just say?"

"Muscles are the new N-Sync. You know, the boy band.."

"No, I don't."

"Oh. Well, um, they used to be a really big hit, and they were all really hot.. Justin Timberlake was one of them." Selia said. "Oh, and he's just dreamy, with all the muscles.."

"YOU THINK MY GRANDPA IS DREAMY?!"

"He's got muscles, you can admit that, Jake!" Selia said defensively, shrinking a bit from his tone of voice.

"... You're weird!"

"No I'm not. It's not like I like him or anything," Selia said, rolling her eyes. "I just like muscles."

Jake grinned. "Sweet..."

"How is that sweet?" Selia asked. "Ooh, what's that tree called?! It's so pretty!"

"I actually don't know. But in the spring, it has cherries growing on it!"

"Oh, that's great.." Selia said, smiling. "Oh, I have a Christmas present for you. But you'll have to wait until Christmas to open it.."

"I have a gift for you, too. But, I think I forgot to pack it..."

Selia grinned widely at him. "I packed yours extra-special. I'll tell you what it is if you guess it."

[I'm guessing her pot brownies.]

"But that'll ruin the surprise!"

"You won't guess it anyways."

"Well... you'll never guess MY gift, either."

"Fine, then, we'll just wait until Christmas." Selia said. "It's getting cold.. Do you want to go back inside?"
