Jake burst out laughing. "HAH! My mom? She can't even flick crumbs off tables properly, let alone 'karate-chop'!"

"Be nice to your mother. And, your grandpa can, you can, why can't she?"

"Because she can't. Unless she has stilleto heals on. Then you've got to be careful."

"Jake, I'm going to be quite honest.. Your family scares me. That includes you."

Jake shrugged. "Well, we all never had many friends. I mean- I don't know about Grandpa, but we all were creepy loners."

Selia immediately felt guilty for saying that. "You're not creepy! And you have friends! I'm your friend! Holly and Fry, and Eric are your friends! Anto... no.."

"Well, yeah! Now I do!" Jake didn't seem to care. "I didn't like Antonio from the start. He sent off bad vibes."

Jake shrugged. "Took you long enough." He got out of the pool and shook his head like a dog.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Selia asked, smiling and trying to avoid the water droplets.

"I don't know. You were always moping around, and now you've finally faced reality and moved on."

"You're right. Why does it seem that you always come up with the best advice and things to say?" Selia asked, seeming to cheer up.
