Nicolas walked over and lightly kicked one of the shopping bags. "We could afford this, could we not?"

Rachel fumed. "It's for James! He needed a new shirt-he tore his other one."

"Why couldn't you use your wand to fix it?" Nicolas asked calmly, trying not to laugh.

"I tried." she grumbled, looking humiliated. "You seem to forget I failed out of Charms. Besides, it's more fun to sew the Muggle way."

"Then ask me to fix it. I'm an Auror, wandwork is most of my job. Don't go spending money all willy-nilly!" Nicolas cried out. "Why, we'll have to save some up to replace all of this furniture! The old was just so boring."

"Now Nick.." began Rachel gently. "You didn't REALLY throw out the furniture, did you? It's just behind the house, right?"

Nicolas folded his arms. "You can go check if you wish, but it's not there."

"Now really, what did you do with it Nick? Tell the truth, please! I want to get our house rearranged, again."

"I told you, I moved it out!" Nicolas grinned widely. "I've said it at least five times by now, have you not caught on?"

"So what are we going to do?! Sit on the floor?!" she exclaimed, desperately trying to keep her temper down.

"I guess so!" Nicolas peered into the shopping bags. "What else did you buy today, besides a new shirt for James?"

She mumbled something, but then hook her head. "I'll be right back. You sit down on the floor crossed legged." And she grabbed her shopping bags, and trotted upstairs quickly.

"That didn't answer my question!" Nicolas called after her, but sat down anyway. Damn, she hadn't lost her temper yet. Ah well, it was only a matter of time. Redheads got fired up quickly.

After Rachel hidden away her newly acquired foreplay set, she came marching downstairs wearing a solemn expression with her guitar case in one hand, and her wand in the other.

She turned out the lights, and sat crossed legged across from Nick. She then created a portable, non burning little fire in between. Rachel carefully took out her guitar from it's case, gave it a little whipe with her shirt, and she took a deep breath.

And then she began to play and sing.

"KUMBAYA MY LORD... KUMBAYAAAAAA!!!" she sung in a very loud, mocking voice.

Nicolas stared at her for a minute, trying to keep a straight face. "Honey, dear, I'm sure there are more important things to buy than foreplay sets. No matter how great you look in them."

Rachel paused for a minute, and turned to glare at him. "Now Nick. Let's not talk about kinky sex while we're praising the Lord. ONTO THE FIRST VERSE!" And she continued to sing. "FOR THE SUUUUN THAT RISES IN THE SKYYYY..."

Nick, hesitantly, began to sing along with her. Might as well.

When Rachel was done with the song, she had a big smile on her face. "Singing always makes me feel better. Anyway Nick, you're right. We don't need furniture! This is perfect as it is!"

"Did I mention I also moved out the baby furniture?" Nick smiled smugly. "They're staying with Ms. Finn down the road--you know, that elderly lady--until we can get more furniture."

Rachel clenched her teeth, but didn't say anything. It was her new year's resolution to not explode at Nick anymore, and she wanted to actually carry through with it.

She began to sing again. "THERE WAS ONCE A FARMER WHO HAD A DOG AND BINGO WAS HIS NAME-O! B-I-N-G-O..." And so on.

"Oh, and if you could, you'll have to run out and get some groceries, maybe a futon or something... considering the fridge and our bed are gone."

Rachel stared at him for a long time. And began to sing a lovely little song about bodies hitting the floor.

"Maybe you'd want to get a cooler, so whatever food you buy stays cold overnight."

"IS THIS THE REAL LIFE... OR IS THIS JUST FANTASY..."

"Perhaps some blankets, it's going to be chilly tonight."
