The NEW Silva Household!

"What?!" Max called out from the room. "Is the CUTENESS of Paul to much for you?!" Max didn't seem to realize that she was actually sick, and continued to wrestle with the puppy.

"No, you didn't wear a condom!" Libby called, before spitting out the last chunks of puke.

"Is that so!" yelled Max, looking around the place for an old pair of socks to play Tug-O-War with.

Libby flushed, brushed her teeth, and came out of the bathroom with her robe hanging off of her shoulders. "I believe so. I haven't eaten any bad food lately and I've had Paul hiding out back for a week or so."

"Wait."

Max dropped the old pair of socks, and Paul immediately charged after them to gnaw on-he WAS just beginning to teeth after all, and there were no shoes around.

Max raised his eyebrows. "You're talking like you're actually pregnant or something."

"I think I am." Libby sat down on the floor with Paul, scratching him behind his ears. "I don't know for sure because I haven't bought one of those stupid Muggle pregnancy test thingies."

"Wow Libby. You're like the gift that keeps on giving." Max said with round eyes. But Max was all smiles today. "This is wonderful though! What are we going to name it?! How about Max Junior?"

"Don't refer to our baby as 'it'!" Libby accused, feeling weird saying the words "our baby" to Max, even if they were married. It was weird to imagine it. "I'm not sure if the baby's a boy or a girl yet, so it can't be certain what we'll name him or her... ohh, I hope I have a little baby girl." Libby's eyes shone like a little kid's, like Max's.

Max was too busy naming off boys names, and he didn't seem to hear her whim.

"...Or how about Gordon, or Joseph, or Kyle, or Lance, or..."

"Maybe Alice, or Jessica, or Samantha... no, because then when she's a teenager she'll go through the angsty 'Call me Sammy!' stage... how about Hannah, or Lucy, or..." she prattled on some girl names, ignoring Max. Paul was ignoring the two of them and had gone off to explore the house.

It was a few days after New Years, and Max had plopped down on the couch, with a book. He wasn't that focused on it though, and the storyline of it-he was rather bored, and there was nothing else to do.

Libby was sitting on the living room floor, beside the crackling fire, mindlessly petting Paul. She, too, was bored. With a couple of weeks off for New Year's and all of her work finished, there wasn't much to do.

Max set his book down on the end table, stretched, and looked down at Libby. "Hey, it's getting late. What do you feel like doing for dinner tonight?"

Libby stroked the retriever behind his ear and thought for a moment. "I'm not that hungry... I had a bit of a big lunch."

Max shrugged. "I'm not starving, but hey-I could eat too."

"What do you have in mind?" Libby asked. "I don't care, but if you're hungry, let's eat!"

"That's what we're going to do!" He leaned back, and closed his eyes for a minute. "There's tuna in the fridge, right?"

"No, I got rid of it. It went bad a week ago, remember?"

"Um... what about that chili you made a few nights ago?" he suggested.

"You finished that yesterday, and gave half of it to Paul."

"He was hungry!" He sighed. "We could just get something delivered from that Indian place in town."

"I don't want any liver!" Libby groaned, frowning.

Max frowned as well. "I didn't say anything about liver!"

Libby's scowl deepened. Poor girl was half-asleep. "Whatever! I just don't want any liver!"

"Okay... so what are we going to do? Why don't you just whip up something in the kitchen?"
