The Sawyer Household.

Mrs. Sawyer was running around, cleaning, getting everything ready for Nicolas and Kathy to get home. Even though it had been almost five years since Nicolas was accepted into Hogwarts, his mom and dad were still in awe about the whole thing. None of them had thought magic existed. After all, the Sawyers were Muggles. And now Kathy was returning from her first year - it was so exciting.

[did nicolas ever get the neighborhood kids to paint fences for him? ._.]

[yes, indeed he did. 8D and he might this summer. or he'll get his little sister to.]

[lolsweet.]

And when Nicolas, Kathy, and their dad arrived from the train station, Nicolas was immediately smothered by his mother and her hugs. </3

Later, Nicolas sat upside-down on his bed... doing nothing. He had one of them twirly-fan-things beside his head on the floor, since it was hot and stuffy in his room. He saw the door open, and Kathy walked in.

"If you're bored, maybe you should paint the fence outside. You know, the paint's starting to chip off," Kathy suggested.

"No youuuuuuuuuu," Nicolas moaned, dragging out the u in you.

"No you," Kathy told him.

"No your mother," Nicolas retorted. Even though it was a stupid retort - they were siblings.

"We have the same mother."

"In that case... no our mother."

Kathy sighed and left, closing the door behind her.

An innocent ten year old boy walked by the house. By the fence. Which really needed a fresh coat of paint. XD

And, since he was bored, Nicolas came outside to the little ten-year-old. "Hey kid. Wanna buy some crack? 8D"

"Oh, hi Nicolas," said the neighborhood kid who apparently knew him. "Do you go to a boarding school or something? 'Cause you're gone for most of the year," the neighborhood boy than pulled out an apple from his pocket and began to nom on it.

"I guess you could say that, yeah," Nicolas said. He eyed the apple a little - it looked good. But instead of stealing it, he picked up the can and brush and began putting some paint on the fence. oh yeah.

"What are you doing?" asked the ten year old curiously.

["Oh, hi Nicolas," said the neighborhood kid who apparently knew him. "Do you go to a boarding school or something? 'Cause you're gone for most of the year," the neighborhood boy than pulled out an apple from his pocket and began to nom on it.[/]

(OH YEA.)

"Paintin' a fence," Nicolas replied, pausing for a moment.

"Oh, that doesn't really sound like fun... sucks you have to do it during summer vacation." said Neighborhood Boy, who was still watching him.

"Maybe it is fun, maybe it ain't. Suits Nicolas Sawyer, though." He resumed his painting.

"But Nick, that's WORK, who wants to do something like that during summer vacation!?" said Neighborhood Boy in amazement.

"Well, I don't see why I shouldn't like it! It's not every day a boy gets a chance to paint a fence!"

The boy kept staring and finally he said: "Hey, do you think I could paint it for a while?"

Tom shook his head. "No, no, I reckon it wouldn't do. You see, my mom is very particular about this fence - right here in the front - but if it was the back fence, I wouldn't mind, and she wouldn't. She's real particular about this fence; it’s got to be done very carefully. I reckon there ain't one boy in a thousand, two thousand, that can do it the way it's got to be done."

"I'll give you my apple!" offered Neighborhood Boy, not noticing the change of accents.

Nicolas was actually changing accents for the lulz. "All of it?" he asked, waving the brush in the air slightly.

"Yeah," said Neighborhood Boy, handing it to him.

Nicolas gave the brush to Neighborhood Boy, and sprawled out under a tree, nomming on the apple. <3

And, so painting from Neighborhood Boy ensues. <3

Nicolas began to plan the tricking of other neighborhood innocent boys, if Neighborhood Boy was too tired to finish the painting.
