Outside of the Shrieking Shack

Libby snapped out of her thoughts and ran after them.

Eric and Holly were walking up a trial that went to the Shrieking shack, they haven't arrived yet, but they were almost there.
"So, why did you want to walk with me?"

"Well, it just seems that all you do is talk to Antonio or Fry."

"Oh, well, that's true. And you were lonely, since Karin and Selia are ignoring you."

"Yeah. I guess hormones got to them and a love triangle ensues." Holly grinned.

"Exactly." Eric grinned widely and he kinda chuckled.
"Oh well, stuff like that happens."

"Yeah, I guess. I just wish that they'd stop letting it take over their lives, y'know?"

"Well, either way, if they keep this up, neither will win."

"I know," Holly sat on the fence that seperated the Shrieking Shack from a Hogsmeade street. "Hey, Eric, do you like anyone?"

"I, well, I did."

"Who?" Holly asked, but it was a casual tone, as if they'd been friends forever and it wasn't an awkward conversation at all. Which, to others, it probably would've been.

"Oh, Karin. You know. But I was a bit late, she's gone after Antonio." he said with a laugh.

"Awww, that sucks. Who knows, maybe you two will end up together if she doesn't end up with Antonio." Holly gave him a reassuring smile.

"Eh, I dunno, it might happen, but I've also moved on, you see? But you should hurry up yourself- it might be too late, you know."

"What do you mean by that?" Holly asked, then in a lower voice, "Is it really that obvious?"

"Well... yes... A bit..."

"Damn. Hormones are getting to me, too; better run while you can!"

Eric laughed.
"I guess this is a good time when that famous line comes in: You can run but you can't hide."

"True. So, if you can run and not hide, what's the point of running?"

"I dunno. No point, really. ^^"

"Hmm..." Holly thought.

"You're suddenly quiet."

"Well, I'm thinking!"

"Sorry!" And Eric shut up.

"... How obvious is it?"
