Olivia was lying on her bed, staring at the ceiling. She was smiling, oddly enough. It was the kind of smile that one would get if they weren't quite mentally sound, though.

"The ceiling. The paving between the stones. What kind was it? The lines between the stones draws a shape sort of like an opossum eating a lemon. Or maybe a lime. No, a lemon. A lime. What does it matter? It's eating a small, round fruit with two bumps on the end. If it had features, I could decide if it was a lemon or lime, because lemons are more sour, in my opinion.

"Lemons: A kind of disgusting fanfiction. Also, lemons: A sour, yellow fruit. Yellow. Hufflepuff. Cedric. Third event. Sitting. Talking. Emo nazi. Amanda. Paint. Water. Fireworks. Hedges. Flash of light. Harry. Hogwarts' victory. Dead Cedric.

"Dead. Not living. The permanent termination of the biological functions that define a living organism.

"Murdered. Murder is the unlawful killing of another human being with intent or malice aforethought."

Olivia should not have borrowed Angel's dictionary that day. Photographic memory can be an evil, evil thing. Just like the picture of looking over the heads of the students at the field.

But, to clarify, this post is basically illustrating the fact that anything Olivia thought about at that point led her back to the image engraved in her mind of Harry crying over Cedric's corpse.

(*clap clap clap*)

Olivia continued to stare at the ceiling. Her brain had mostly shut off after a few more tried to distract herself. Now, she was basically just asleep with her eyes open. It was rather odd-looking. Her eyes didn't seem nearly as bright green as they had always been.

Kelsi kicked open the door and stared at Olivia.
"O-Olivia!" Kelsi ran over and huggled her friend.

And so did Libby. Group hug.

She didn't bother hugging them back. Partially because she couldn't move her arms. Because they were already hugging her.

"I don't know what to say."

Libby didn't bother saying anything. She let go of Liv and sat on her bed.

Kelsi stared at Liv.
"Olivia. Say something."

"... Like what?" she squeaked.

"Oh- I don't know. Are you okay? That's not right to say. you're a wreck. I'm so sorry- why am I saying that? It's not my fault, but I feel sorry for you. You two were so sweet together, and it never got able to come out. It was forbidden love, and now we know why. You'll go to his funeral, or something, right?"

Libby was silent. She didn't think there was any need to talk. Kelsi could talk.

When Kelsi said 'funeral', she started to cry.

Libby put an arm around Liv. She remained silent, but she hugged her friend.

Kelsi's eyes filled with tears, but Kelsi wiped them away before they could be noticed. It left long marks from where the makeup was, and her skin was revealed under.
"Don't cry, it'll be okay. You've gotta move on. We'll help you, okay?"

She kept crying. "How the hell am I gonna move on!?"

"It'll take time," Libby told her. "You'll find out, Cedric isn't the most important thing in the world. It may seem like it, but in reality... you can live without him. It'll just take some time. But at least you know what it's like to kiss him. " Immediately after that, she added an "I'm sorry." Not that she was sorry he was gone, but for trying to lighten the mood.

"Listen to Libby. I don't have any advice for this."

"... Libby, you're not helping!"
