Serenity's Mom's house.

"Selia... She'll hate me." Serenity put down the toiletseat and sat on it, staring at the wall. It was quite funny, considering she was in her dress from the ball still. And, well, she was on a toiletseat.

Kelsi, on the other hand, was now wearing these overall shorts that had the pant-part cut really short, so they were like short-shorts. And she had a badly-tucked in red blouse with slightly puffy sleeves. "Selia's your sister. She won't hate you. She'll be too depressed to, I'm sure." She fell onto her buttom next to Serenity and crossed her legs.

"She'll hate me. You don't know how much she's been going through. She doesn't sleep- I hear her pacing around at night. This is just going to ... It's going to kill her."

"I'll help you tell her. Where is she?"

"Groceries."
Selia burst through the upstairs fireplace. "Sere! What's with the police? Did you kill that ex of yours?"

"Groceries at twelve in the night?!"

"I made her, to get her away from the party. And, I just can't say it."

"She's going to have to find out soon enough, Serenity..."

"I can't tell her. You do it."
"Tell me what?" Selia opened the door, hands on her hips. It was obvious she had been crying- her eyes were red and puffy.

"... She's your sister, Serenity..." Kelsi whispered.

"I can't." Serenity whispered back. "Selia, Kelsi has something serious that she- we- need to tell you." Selia frowned. "What's wrong? I was just joking about the ex- did you really kill him?"

Kelsi stayed sitting with her legs crossed on the ground. She didn't say anything.

"Selia, Mom got ran over. She's dead."


Selia froze, eyes huge. "W....."




...
"What...?"

Kelsi looked up, and smiled weakly. "Selia, she's... gone. I'll let Serenity tell you better, but... don't blame her. It wasn't her fault. It was nobody's fault."

Selia put her head between her hands like she was trying to crush it. "Just stop! STOP!"

Kelsi stopped talking, and stared at the floor again.

"My life is ruined! And you're treating me no better! Karin's a total maniac! Mom's DEAD! I WANT TO DIE!" Selia ran out of the room, sobbing.

The next day, both Rosensteel girls hadn't slept at all, they simply sat in the living room, not talking.

Until Serenity's owl results.
She screamed. "NO, NO MORE BAD NEWS, JUST GO AWAY!"
But the owl had landed on her head, and started pecking her, so she reluctantly opened it.

"I am so bored." Serenity Rosensteel said to nobody, sitting outside with her laptop in front of her, checking her facebook- which was without any posts or status changes. Selia was out of the house, on a wonderful vacation with her friends, and Serenity was out here in a sparkly bikini trying to get a tan. It was working, but it was horribly boring, along with the rest of her summer plans. When Angel got home, she would go talk to him, but she really didn't feel like going to see Olivia or anyone else. Serenity shut her laptop and leaned back on the grass, setting a kitchen timer to thirty minutes- the time she'd flip over.

Serenity had received a purple/pink pamphlet as well in the mail. There was half a page dedicated to half breeds, and it made Serenity's heart drop. "Oh my God. I have to go.. I can't bother Selia. She's safe with Eric.." She ran into the house, locking all the doors, and dropped some green powder in the fire. "Illumination Island!"
