Charms Class

Rachel kept doodling on a spare piece of parchment. There would be time for work later.

Serenity stared out the window, not even trying to pay attention. In her left hand, (not even her wand hand, a giveaway she's slacking) she waved her wand aimlessly.

"Hey Serenity," Rachel poked her on the shoulder. "I drew you a picture of you and Angel!" she said handing it to her.

The piece of picture had a girl stickfigure with a triangle for a body, and long curly hair and a happy face. The boy stickfigure had a pair of large, oversized glasses. They were holding hands, and there was a heart scribbled over them.

Serenity looked at it, then smiled. "Thanks, Rach! But, you know, I haven't exactly seen him since the party I had... It looks nice, I'll put it on my wall!"

"Oh, really. I thought you were staying with them over the summer, heh..."

"That was before my party."

"Oh. Why don't you go trying talking to him? You better have soon, cause isn't he a seventh year?"

Serenity's eyes snapped open from the dreary boredness of the window, and she stared at Rachel. "Oh holy nuggets. You're right!"

"You know what's weird? Is how I knew that, but you didn't,"

"I'm going to rape him over Christmas Break!"

"Oh geez, are you SERIOUS? You're worst than me, and I hav been feeling, well..." she trailed off, not saying anymore.

Serenity grinned at her. "Feeling WHAT? You know, Angel's sweet, but it seems like my entire life is about him. So, I shall concentrate on him only during Christmas Break."

"I kinda agree... I should do that," Rachel sighed. "Probably getting a boyfriend is what brought my grades so low,"

Kelsi leaned backwards to them.
"That, and how you're continuously chatting and doodling in class."
Charms, being Kelsi's second best subject, had lead her to being able to do the charm within several wand waves. It wasn't at its best, but she had still been able to do it.

Amanda was flailing her wand around with concentration in her narrowed eyes. After a minute of flailing or so, she got a small, quickly popped, bubble. Then, she actually looked at the instructions on how to do it XD.

"I just have no interest in this subject, that's all. I've never liked it, or been good at it. Which is bad, considering how useful this subject is in real life,"

Kelsi snickered under her breath.

"All that writing and such, like History of Magic, or Potions, that stuff bugs me. Yet wandwork is my strength." Even though I'm muggle-born Kelsi couldn't help but think.

Amanda shrugged, "Seems easy enough with the instructions.."

"Oh, well, my best subject is Defense Against the Dark Arts, I guess. That was my best grade. And my second best subject is... Transfiguration, I guess."

Libby gave up on the charm, and leaned back in her chair, wishing she could go up to the dorm and get some sleep.

Amanda noticed her bubble's size was increasing a littewith every try. Taking a break she overheard her friends conversation, on purpose she added nothing to the conversation.

"Meh, I think I better start looking for jobs at the Ministry of Magic coffee shop at this rate..."

"Yeah, well. . . House mom seems good for you." Kelsi said, trying to be encouraging.

"That, or I could help you. Some of the subjects no, but then others I'll at least try."

Amanda turned around a little, ith a small smile, "Why does grades seem to be the common conversation lately amongst us all?"

Libby spun around, and slammed her fist on Rachel's desk. "Says the Ravenclaw! I thought you were supposed to be smart! You still have two years at Hogwarts!"
