  I am surprised and somewhat pleased that you've finally responded. I wasn't expecting you, considering our current relationship is somewhat poor. Also, it would seem that I am unable to recall what I wrote to you in the first letter.
  I was quite impressed by your vocabulary. It's a shame you don't act as intelligent as you sound when writing. Literature was and still frequently is my refuge from the trials of everyday life, and from your constant nagging and throwing of shoes, Elroy's idiocy and promiscuity, Olivia and Charlie's childish antics and One's useless strategies against Harpies, which it should be known that a simple jackknife would never suffice if he was up against a real harpy. However, I suppose I took advantage of that refuge more than what was necessary. I apologize for that.
  I accept your apology, and I hope that we can resume our friendship once again.

Serenity frowned at the crack at her intelligence, but read the rest of the letter calmly, and sat down on a windowseat- narrowly avoiding the owl crappings- and started to write back.

Serenity sent her owl back to Angel.

And not soon after, it returned.

I haven't communicated with One or Elroy at all. Charlie did, however, write me a rather tongue-in-cheek letter, which I never did respond to. I haven't heard anything from Olivia, either, and evidently neither has mother or father. As a matter of fact, they haven't heard a word from her since she began attending Hogwarts. I've assured them that nothing's wrong that I know of, but maybe she would talk to you about it, since you're such good friends. What has Elroy said to you?
I understand your curiosity. Life here isn't nearly as interesting as Hogwarts, I can tell you that much...

I'd rather not repeat it; what Charles wrote was quite foul. I'm glad that you're all doing well for the most part, then. I guarantee you that life here is far less interesting than life at Hogwarts. Nothing ever happens, and I've been forced to become nocturnal.

After running halfway across the school grounds, Olivia finally got to the Owlery. She found an idle school owl, tied a short letter to Charlie to its foot, and pushed it off its perch. "Go!"
