Amanda began walking down the trail that lead students off of the castle's regular indoor boundries. As she shot a quick glance over her shoulder Amanda caught a glance of the last person she'd want in her class. Behind her, Lin Fearfield was most certainly bragging about some devious plan she has just nudged into action. Amanda could make out the words "Idiout", "Simple", and "Oughta to be a blast to pull off!" After a short shudder, Amanda hopeless stared at the castle, longing to be back in it's warm embrace.
Lin saw Amanda's face of hatred when her eyes locked onto Lin's. Lin's braggin abruptly stopped as she hissed to her friend, "I thought this class was for the more advanced or something!" Lin's friend shrugged and plainly said, "If you hate her so much, why not pull something sly on her? Like destroying her grade in Herbology!" Lin's friend's brown eyes seemed to glow when she made this statement, making Lin grin a bit.
When Lin looked away again, her friend stared at Lin and didn't take a few of the steps. The friend watched Lin's swagger, it made her look like she belonged to- no owned, the entire castled. With a deep breath, the friend caught up with Lin and tried to copy every step.
Amanda kept throwing short, rhymic glances over her shoulder. On the very last one, Amanda looked long enough to catch Lin snickering. With a sick feeling, Amanda began to turn around and she was one step away from walking smack into the gate to the gardens. Gingerly lifting up the little hook on the door, Amanda pushed it open and tred to close it but a foot clad in beat up black converse stopped it. Amanda watched in horror as the foot nudged the door open and realized it belonged to Lin.
Lin rolled her eyes at Amanda's angered face, and as if she didn't notice Amanda she said to her friend as she walked by, "Too bad Hufflepuff is a house. Might be better if the total losers didn't get in it. But I guess not everyone is great!"
Amanda almost threw a punch at Lin.
Almost.
But ended up just walking quickly to class.
