A Dark Hallway

Karin was in a dark hallway, in a lone place in Hogwarts. Most people tended to stay away from this place, and a result, Karin was standing there alone with Antonio. She was frowning slighty-Christmas break was relatively boring, and she wished she could have spent it with him. Ah well. It was over now. What could she do? It wasn't like she could travel back in time and experience the break all over again.

Antonio was coming this way. He glanced at her, and came over, to lean against the wall next to her. "Hey."

Karin looked up at him, and smiled. She leaned against the wall as well, and she looked up at him, and blinked demurely. "Hello. How was your Christmas?" she asked sweetly, pushing a piece of red hair behind her ear.

"A waste of time." He said quietly. The shadows in the halls were cast upon his face, causing the shadows under his eyes to grow larger. His body was hunched over, as if he were carrying the world on his shoulders. He looked stressed.

Karin looked worried. "What's the matter? You seem really tired. Look at your eyes and back..."

"What's wrong with how I look?" he lifted his head. "You should know why I'm stressed."

"You look terribly tired, and you have such dark circles and-" she stopped, stared at him for a minute, and she lowered her voice. "It's because of the Ministry break-in, isn't it? Is your family okay?"

"My dad got in trouble. It was horrible. Everyone's fine, though." Antonio scowled. "Filthy mudbloods, I hate them for doing this to my family..." His lips shook with anger. "I bet Fry got away, too. Stupid bastard... hope he gets caught."

"I'm sure there all in Azkaban right now..." she cooed. "Suffering under the Dementor's Kiss. All of those Mudbloods are either there, or on the streets where they belong. And your father is one of the top worker's in the Ministry. He wouldn't lose his job over a... little incident like that."

Antonio smiled. He had the image of his enemy in a cell, pale and thin and dirty. It cheered him up. "Ah, well, this year has been one of my best."

Karin brightened up, along with him. "I agree, actually! I've never cared for school much myself... you know, always stuck in a classroom filled with annoying, like-minded people. But this year has been better. Defiantly the best!"

Antonio shrugged. "I've always found school easy. So I just do what they give me, and then I'm done."

"Of course you'd find school easy, you're so intelligent. I think it's easy too, but sometimes it's rather un-fulfilling. Like I just feel empty afterwards of a class." she sighed. "Especially with all the Mud-blood Lovers you're surrounded by day-to-day."

"God, what a nightmare. I mean, why respect the dirt beneath your feet? I'd rather just kick it around."

She laughed. "Nice analogy there! But seriously, really? I was always taught that all humans are equally, but looking at the Mud-bloods, it's hard to believe that, right?"

"I agree. And it's so easy to go against them, and be respected for it..."

"Exactly." she sighed happily. "I feel so great! I hope school remains like this next year."

Antonio grinned. "Yes. It will, Karin." He wrapped his fingers around hers. "The success happening, we're going to win this fight."

"And all those dirty Muggle-borns will be stamped also." and she smiled herself, snuggling into his arm.

Antonio nodded. There wasn't more he could do, except nod, considering how he was thinking over things. He knew Fry was better than that. No matter how stupid and selfish that asshole was, he was clever enough to get out- to escape at the first chance he got. Antonio felt it in his gut.

"You look stressed again."

[eh sure thinks about fry a lot]

"Huh? Well, you observe too much."

"Is that a BAD thing?"

"No. Slightly nerving, but no."
