Kelsi was one of the first to enter the class. She held her arm nervously and "her" red hair brushed her shoulders. She bit her lip nervously and took a seat in the back. She had no intention being in the front.

Rachel sat in the back, near a window. She was staring off, biting the tip of her quill, not really paying much attention in class.

Olivia, meanwhile, sat almost in the dead center of the room. She wanted to get a good view of the professor and what was being taught, but still maintain a safe distance.

Kelsi had sat next to Rachel. "Hey. You nervous to see what difference is in the class?"

"It's not just a difference Gertrud. This is an entire new class they're teaching."

Libby took her seat next to Kelsi and Rachel. "Hey. I bet this'll be exciting," she mumbled sarcastically.

"I personally am scared." Kelsi whispered silently. She had picked up the accent again.

Olivia yawned and began picking at something that was stuck to the desk.

Kelsi stood up and walked to Liv. "Hey. You look bored, not as jumpy as usual. You okay?"

(Who plays the teacher?)

Rachel continued to sit there, not saying anything.

"Yeah, yeah. Tired, that's all."

"What, did you go to bed really late?"


Suddenly a teacher entered. "You! Take a seat!" he snapped at Kelsi. "Everyone, sit up straight. I'm not going to tolerate with a lame class first thing this year. He pulled out a chalkboard and hexed it to write down stuff. The piece of chalk was screaching on the board, and wrote in sharp, jagged letters.

The Dark Arts: Unit One- Basic Spells, and Conjurations

"Take out a paper. I won't accept any delays! Hurry up, now!" he snapped.

Kelsi ran over to her desk and immediately began writing.

Basic spells consist of:
Chapter 1- Black Magic
Chapter 2- Roots of Black Magic
Chapter 3- Basic Curses
Chapter 4- Basic Curses and Their Conjures

Kelsi scribbled down as quickly as possible in her light cursive writing. She kept glancing up stressed, and back down at her paper to make sure she's writing what's needed to be written.

Serenity came in a bit late, holding her bag and yawning. She was wearing, of course, her uniform. "Sorry, I slept in.." She mumbled, going and sitting down near her friends.

He turned to stare at Serenity angrily. "I will not accept such lowly-ness. But, because it's the first day back, I WILL let this one slip. But already my mood is getting lower. Any more slip-ups and I think I might have to result to some detentions. Trust me, they'll be much worse than any other ones."

"Lowly-ness? Sheesh, did this guy even pass primary school?" Olivia gazed at the chalkboard with glassy eyes.

"Er, sorry.."
"I was only a couple of minutes late," She mumbled as she plopped down in a seat. "Lowly-ness? Great grammar, retard." She mumbled again, slinking down and staring off into space.

He had returned to writing notes.


Kelsi quickly wrote down everything. She had to pass this year.

Rachel seemed to be completely oblivious still. She simply stared out the window, thinking about things. She didn't really care if she passed the year or not, as long as she got THROUGH it.

Olivia closed her eye again, as it had once again begun to sting.

Amanda stumbled in- her hair in a pon-tail that had be obiously put up during a mad sadh to class. "Sorry I'm late, Sir."

Amanda looked down at her scratched up black flats as she was being scolded. She only really listened to the 'last time you will be let off easily' part before she nodded and made her way to a seat as far back as she could get. She looked at the board, fighting back the words that were trying to push their way out of her mouth.

Proffessor Alecto had returned to his teachings and tapped his wand around showing dark magic forms bending the air- which seemed to shrivel up in front of them. "These are simple curses you can shoot at your opponent. It will instantly shrivel their skin. It is at the moment illegal to shoot at somebody's face, since if it finds a way into the body, well... I could say you're done for." He said cruelly. "But, at the moment, they're finding ways to lift this law."

Serenity raised her hand impertinently. It was a rare thing to see.

Olivia watched intently with her other eye. This had to be one of the coolest things they'd been taught in school since fourth year's Defense class.
