A Dark Hallway

"Oh, Rachel doesn't even know who I am anymore! Who cares, you're alive, and you've lost weight!" She got off of Kelsi, let her breathe, you know.

"You should see my sister... Speaking of which. Where is she? Hmm, well. You know, thanks for doing that. But I could have perfectly taken care of him myself." She spun her wand around her fingers.

"I've just been hiding in the dorm for the past few hours. I felt like doing something. Took a lovely nap, though... Aha, I just killed someone!" She seemed rather giddy.

Kelsi sighed. "That's just... great." she said with a nod, and turned towards the hallway. "Come on, let's get out of here. It's so dark and scary."

Olivia nodded, gave another half-hearted laugh, and so they started walking and such. "Have you found anyone else yet?"

"What do you mean?" Kelsi asked. She fiddled around mindlessly with her wand as they walked.

"Amanda, Rachel, whoever that girl you mentioned is..."

"Oh. Umm.. I found Libby, but got separated from her, I've been a bit of a lone wolf during this battle. Helping kids and stuff, but I don't... I don't know what to do, really. I'm scared to hurt anyone."

"Oh, I've been all the way out to Hogsmeade and back... through a portal, but still. And then Jenny died..."

"Jenny- the chinchilla?!" Kelsi cried out. "What?! No! What happened?" She found this idea horribly sad. The poor chinchilla. It went through so much..

She nodded. "Ran out of food, couldn't get to the Hospital Wing... I'd been giving her table scraps, but I guess it just wasn't..."

She looked so sad. "That's horrible. You must be so bothered.."

"Compared to what else is going on? I have no right to be."

"But..." she sighed. "I feel so strange."

"It's gonna be over soon, I imagine... This can't be one of those battles that just lasts for days. And I mean look!" She motioned to the hallway ahead of them. "All clear."

She nodded. "We're in the lower part, though. It's happening higher up."

"That may be so. I'm just glad they weren't using our common room as a base!"
