Amanda's New Apartment

Amanda opened the door look positively radiant. Her smile was huge, and she had seemed to undergo a personality change. She had been this way ever since the collision with Trevor, whom she was plotting to meet again at that restaurant. "Hello!"

In contrast, Olivia looked like she'd just rolled out of bed - which, she probably had; it was still pretty early by her standards. "Yo."

"Liv, I have great news!" Amanda honestly looked like a two year old on a sugar high the way she was acting.

"What? You have any food? Let me in." Olivia walked past Amanda into her very familiar living room and kept right on going to the kitchen.

Amanda followed Olivia as if she was the house guest. "The normal... OH! I have some leftover sweet and sour chicken in the back of the fridge from last night... Also my news is, I finally think I met the right guy!"

Olivia opened the fridge and began scanning the shelves. "It gets all soggy after the first-- You what?"

"He's this really cute guy I met in the bookstore." All of Amanda's words sounded like a jumbled up mess because she said them in one breath.

Olivia stared up at her, squinting. "A bookstore, huh?"

"Yup! He's really cute!"

"Bookstore..." She looked back into Amanda's fridge, reaching in and taking out a tupperware of food stuffs. "One of those smartass pricks?"

"Kinda. But he's sweet. And cute. And not a wizard."

"A muggle!" Olivia said, with a hinting of disbelief. "Oh, that'll be fun; saw how great that went the last two times." She opened the tupperware; the rank smell of ancient cheese burst forth.

Amanda frowned. "Two? The coffee guy doesn't count as a dude, and the other I can't remember... Gah!" Amanda pinched her nose. "Throw that out!"

"He certainly DOES count! I remember the day you were telling me all about him; going on in that... talking." She dumped whatever it was into the sink and stared at it as though it would leap up and start doing the jitterbug.

"...Whatever. But I really think this guy is the one! I got that goofy feeling that everyone says they get and everything!" Pinkie slinked out from behind the couch, glaring at Olivia.

"It's like you're an old record." Olivia picked up a nearby whisk and poked at the mixture.

"Well, it's better than having the same love of my life since I was eleven like some people I know!" Amanda plopped down on a stool next to the counter.

She managed to get a rather large glob of it on the whisk. "Say it again, this goes in your hair."

"I wasn't talking about you, Olivia!" Amanda got a fake, scared tone in her voice as she spoke. She was really talking about nearly the entire 'posse'.

"Good!" Olivia dropped the whisk in the sink with the rest of it, mumbling something about 'only dated since two years ago' and something else.

A large crack came from outside the door. Then, there was a sharp knock.

"You're going to clean this mess," Amanda motioned to the sink, "Up."

Being a witch and all, Olivia took out her wand, pointed it at that nigh-sentient glob, and uttered, "Scourgify!" Good as new. "You going to get that?"

[MAGIC. BURN HER AT THE STAKE.]

"Thanks. My wand is on the couch, and that's such a long walk!" Or more like a yard distance. But that's a mile is lazy-man calculation.

The person knocked again, obviously not going to be ignored.
