Small Cottage

"Please? Hugs are nice. They make the hug-ee feel wanted and loved and special. And since I find myself in increasingly humiliating and mentally scarring situations, it would be really nice to just.. get a big warm hug." Serenity said, with a weak smile.

A pause. "When you say it like that..."

"Um, Elroy.. Please?" Serenity asked, giving him the very best sad face she could muster.

"Fine, fine!" He held his arms out about a foot.

"Yay!" Serenity said, going over and hugging him. She closed her eyes and smiled, imbedding her nose rather near the left-middle of his chest. He smelled nice, like alcohol and party-goers.

Elroy had never really been a hugger, but how could he reject her after that little life summary?

"Thanks!" Serenity said cheerily, not letting go.

"Yeah, right." He was trying to watch the show from over her shoulder.

"And so that's how I got AIDS." Serenity was saying.

"What!?"

"Hee-hee. I'm just kidding. Trying to get your attention."

"Are you finished?"

"Nope! I like hugs."

She was crushing his dish of pasta.

[Is that a metaphor?]

"Well, anyways... This is nice. We should do this more often."

[Literal, she now has alfredo all over whatever she was wearing HAVE FUN~]

He didn't reply.

Serenity stepped away, still grinning. Then, she looked down, feeling something squishy on her silk bathrobe.
Immediately, she stared up at Elroy, her limbs locking as if she was about to tackle him. And, surprisingly, she did, going down with him, and landing on top. She punched his chest angrily. "YOU IDIOT! I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KILL YOU!"

Elroy pushed Serenity off of him. "You got fuzz all in my dinner, girl!" He began picking bits of that stuff you get from the laundry out of the dish.

"Fuzz in your dinner?! You spilled pasta on my outfit!!"

"Hello? Scourgify!"

"Yes, but-- but still!" Serenity fished around in one of the kitchen drawers for a moment, before getting out her wand and muttering the pasta away. "I hate you!"

"Why is there so much lint? Isn't that supposed to be silk?"

"It is silk! Here, feel it. I hope I ruined your supper, by the way."

"I hope your satisfied, then!"

"I am satisfied!" Serenity said, going over and stealing his chair.
