Small Cottage

He guffawed. "Trust me, if I could, I would."

"I doubt it. The whole working man thing is really not badass."

"There wouldn't be any point to it, really. I can walk anywhere around here, and I just apparate to work in the morning."

"Well, it'd be hot. You could get a purple one."

"No."

"Well then, I must say, you're not manly anymore. It's official. First you get all Christian-ized by Rachel, and now you're working, and you're not even tough anymore!"

"I was never all that... tough, per say. Just got laid a lot."

"Well, then you never get laid anymore! You're a complete loser." Serenity was quite enjoying demeaning Elroy.

Elroy rested his chin in his hand, the arm attached to which was supported on the arm of the chair. "How would you know?"

"I put a camera in your room." Serenity said sarcastically.

"I wouldn't be dumb enough to bring her home," he countered.

"I put a GPS unit in your shoe and took it with me to school to watch you."

"That would only tell my location, not exactly where I was or what I was doing."

"Well, damn, then." Serenity frowned. "I suppose there's really no way to tell if you fool around with other girls, especially while I'm at school.."

Elroy smiled, victorious.

Serenity seemed quite put out. "Well, fine then! Screw all the girls you want to when I'm gone! It doesn't matter. I-I'm just using you as a sex buddy anyways!" She said, her voice cracking.

"I can't monitor you, either."

Serenity shut up right away. "That's true."

And Elroy was silent for a while.

"Seriously, though, what do you want for Christmas?"

"I'll take a demure grey scarf, please. It should only be about 20 galleons."

"Demure?"

"Modest. Cute. Snuggle-able. Maybe a little soft."

Sadly, Elroy couldn't take this Serenity-free day to sleep and laze around. He had to work. Life's a bitch.

Unfortunately, right around the time most people were going to sleep- 11:30- Serenity banged open the door, having politely apparated onto the front porch. "ELROY!" She shouted loudly, much too loudly for the small house, anyone would have heard her fine just talking. "I'M HOME!"

Elroy'd just then gotten back from watching a quidditch game downtown. He was in the kitchen, making himself a sandwich; he was always hungry around midnight. "How was it?"
