"I was going to. Didn't know when, but I definitely was."

"Aw.." Serenity cooed, then somehow squirmed out from underneath him, ending up on top, and no longer in the comfy chair. "Well, even though I spent it in terror, the service was nice."

"No reason to be."

"The old lady in that ugly hat kept looking at me like I was crazy. But, hey. What do you want for Christmas?"

"Usually people don't wear cocktail dresses to church..." Of course, he wasn't complaining. "Isn't it kind of late for that?"

"I didn't know that. And, if that's what you want. I was thinking socks or something."

He withheld his comment, and simply went with compliance. "Okay."

"No, don't say okay. Tell me what you want for Christmas. If you want that, that's swell, but if you want an actual gift, like pretzels, just say so! Honestly, you are so difficult."

"Wanna know what I got you?"

"Yeah! Yeaaaah! Tell me!"

But he didn't say.

"THAT'S SO CRUEL!" Serenity screamed. "Tell me tell me tell me!"

"Tomorrow."

"Fine, then." Serenity said, going into their room and slamming the door.

"Goodnight."

"Goodnight! God, it's cold! TURN UP THE HEAT!"

"I'm boiling!" he called. "Get some extra blankets!"

"How can you be boiling?! It's below freezing in here!"

"It's only eleven degrees!"

"Yes, and that's why I'm cold!"

"You're weird!"

"No, you are! It's cold. Why couldn't we live somewhere tropical? Like Equador. It gets hot there."

"Where's Ecuador?"

"Africa. Or maybe South America. New Zealand-ish? I don't know!"

"Don't even know where it is, how would we live there?"
